Very, very much. US gave away
way too many passes and had many other obvious fuck-ups (even to the uninitiated) to even warrant a draw. The US keeper played well, and in close proximity to their own goal they played good defense, but it was a bumbling mess getting the ball to the other end of the pitch. :-/ Anyway, onwards and upwards. Apparently we'll be playing Belgium next which is a lot nicer than other teams we could play.
I'm sorry if you got offended about what I said before, but even though I think the USA would win in a comparison with some or most asian countries "freedom levels", that wouldn't quite necessarily make the USA's a paradigm.
Don't sweat it -- I'm unoffendable.
I respect everyone's right to call the US a police state. To an extent, they are true. Hoewever the US employes a lot of checks and balances to ensure you don't slip through the cracks. Perfect? Of course not, but something. I know for a fact, Japan (and a lot of Asia) does not... to the point that if you slip through the legal cracks mistakenly, you're life is over.
Honestly I can't comment on countries on other continents, but knowing people from a lot of them I know I can draw some conclusions. I'd say anyone in Scandanavia is a prisoner in their own home due to the astronomical tax on alcohol.
