Shmup Port Conversions.

I just recently played the arcade version of Zero Wing (yes THE Zero Wing, only the Arcade version doesn't have that infamous opening), as I was playing (note that due to the fact I was dying every couple inches on the screen, I used the Invincibility Dip Switch, just to play through...that and it's harder in some cases than Gradius or R-Type combined....or maybe I just suck that way ), I started recognizing various bosses from other shmups...or at least their incarnations and one in particular that caught me off guard was one sub-boss that looked almost identical to a certain Level 2 boss in Arrowflash, and that got me to thinking...what all Arcade to Genesis and Vice-Versa (for other systems even) are out there?

I'd love it if I could find an Arcade version of Arrowflash among others. Sometimes it seems like the arcade version of a game is better crafted than it's port, but I may be wrong.

Anyways, does anyone know more about Arcade to Console Shmup ports and which ones were good in the Arcade originally...or perhaps better on the console?
