Caladrius blaze ps3. How import friendly is the Japanese?

Post by Joerpg84 »

I badly want to play this but worried I don't know how much English it will contain as I know no Japanese at all. Also not sure if there is the chance of an English release.

Any help would be appreciated.

You'll be okay. All you need to know is that you can customize your shot types if you choose to do so.
But the story does have something to it, hopefully we'll get to learn a bit about it as time goes on.

It won't contain much english if the 360 release is anything to go by.It dosn't matter though, don't let it stop you from getting or playing it.It's a really good game.Apart from the story, the only other bit that would helpful to have english would be the weapon section but you can always experiment.I've been playing jp games for years, still don't understand a bit of the language! It's never really been a problem...not for shmups or fighting games at least.

Just get it and enjoy!

You'll be fine, I'm sure, though, I can get the concern (I assume this is probably your 1st time buying an imported game?). I think, as long as you can get it enough to understand the controls and customisation, then it'll be okay. :) It shouldn't be too hard to do. As for me, I know I'm most certainly waiting to get the PS3 version of this game! It sure was a shame for the Xbox 360 version to be region-locked, so it being a region-free release for the PS3 (Awesome that it's for the PS3! It's sure a shame that there's not much more shmup games for the PS3, but oh well (The ones that have been released for the PS3 are very nice, so no complaining there). It's been said and done, anyhow, but this is beside the point, so enough about that.) is awesome news, indeed! :D

The story, though, I sure wish I can get, as with the other games. While I can read hiragana, and can read katakana, and can even read some of the kanji, there's plenty of other kanji I can't quite read through, as well as the combinations and all, so it'll be just bits and pieces for me, for the moment, as with the other games. I'll be working on learning more of the basic kanji, and hopefully, my ability to read Japanese will increase to more than what it is now. :) Anyhow... Maybe someone might take the time to do a translation for us at some point. I wouldn't know who, though.

I'm not sure if there ever will be an English release, but somehow, I feel that, should it happen, I think there will be a lot of the game edited, due to, well, you know, some of the other content Caladrius is known for, like, hmm, how do you say this... Fanservice stuff?

Thanks everyone for the replies!!

I guess you are right...I'd rather buy the Japanese version instead of it becoming unavailable and not releasing it in English.

I managed ginga force on the xbox and LOVED it so I'm going to pre order it now from play asia.

It does look like so much fun :D.

Yeah, if Ginga Force didn't put you off Caladrius should be no problem in that area.

I speak not a word of Japanese, and with the little common sense I had, and this forum's own threads discussing the game and strategies, it was all easy to work out. Enjoy it!
