I just got the lead out and updated my Plenty of Fish account. As a guy, it's kind of weird writing a description of oneself. Just one conversation on a date should make a lot of things clear. Anyway it is mostly a good way to meet people and maybe some love. So, do any of you use the net to date?

Lots of women on there getting tons of messages, and barely having the time to sift through it.

You can read up on it on a lot of sites. It's do-able, but if you're average or below, you're going to have a hard time.

POF is kind of renowned as a sex-with-a-stranger alleyway type thing. The misc was super into it until Tinder made the process more efficient. Much trolling much amaze; threads like the guy messaging obese women (who were full of themselves+douchebags, he isn't a _total_ asshole) as a HoverRoundRep and explaining to them they may qualify for a discount or complementary Hoverround.

OK Cupid is just a little more upscale, is what I'm getting at.

The written profiles people write are a marvel of a travesty. It's possibly worse than the fitness education the general public has, if that's even possible. There should be tutorials on-site to help everyone out, but alas.

I can only recall one (1) profile that I could qualify as well-written.

About 1/3rd of all relationships involved people meeting online.

Lettuce be serial, if your job involves sitting in a dark room hidden from all human contact, you're not meeting anyone if you don't put yourself out there, and having a big "I'm single and liek daggers" on a potential applicant's resume beats cold approaching a total stranger (who may or may not like daggers, it is a mystery wrapped in an enigma) and getting the "I have a boyfriend" response (which may or may not be a lie of necessity) and you have to use the cliche "you look like the kind of girl who could use two boyfriends, to me" and well fuark..

It's just the age we're living in, is all I'm sayin'.

You should try out Tinder. The concept is you browse through profiles and you check if you find that person attractive or not (like Hot or Not). If someone also finds you attractive, you'll be able to contact this person. It's like an anonymous way to check a dating catalog and there is no awkwardness in the searching process.

Nevertheless, women and shmups rarely fit together. I can barely play since I moved with my girlfriend.

It seems all of these things, including adult dodgeball, are just a pretense to meet people and maybe get together. I am hopeful.

pretty sure match.com is bullshit. ive been on it for about a year now and I have met one women off of it and she was a nut case. but it feels like a ghost town. lots of profiles where no one has had subscriptions and so you are sending emails in to a blank void. I have had more luck off the tinder app. hooked up once and got a date off of it once in the 4 weeks I have been using it.

Eh, not really. At least not for me. Never really had trouble getting sex.. I'm good-looking and charming enough, apparently. It's the long-term (sexual & normal) interest that's hard to find. It's difficult to find a female who's both intellectually and physically interesting for the duration. Online dating failed me there.

What i have learnt from experience.
- when a guy is single, he will feel the need to get a gf, because he feels lonely or less than his friends who have gf's. plus he aint getting any. so he tries to get a gf.
- when a guy has a gf and gettin some, he will feel that he could have had so many others which is now off limits. so he dumps his gf to go fishing.

and the cycle repeats until you are stuck in either of those two phases permanently. So its either be happy or have fun, but rarely few ever get both together. just like threesomes.
