CODE for Shippuu Mahou Daisakusen SATURN

Post by D »

Unlock Game Mode option
On the options screen, scroll down to Sound Options. Press Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Up, Down, Down on the D-Pad, and then press Start. At the bottom of the Options should now be Game Mode. The default is Racing; Shooting mode completely eliminates the Racing elements found in the game.

I have this game and I totally missed this code.
What does it do exactly.
Is it that you can't speed up anymore and that that's the only difference?
Like not assigning the boost function to any button?

What else?

You can't speed up anymore - plus, there are no other computer controlled racers.

I have a section for shooting mode high scores on my Kingdom Grandprix high score board (in the high score section). You should play it and post one.

Can this be done on the PCB? If so how? Cheers. :)

I've heard about this as well, and I wonder how the game plays without any of the racing! Would be interesting to find out.

Shippu Mahou without the racing is, in essence, Mahou Daisakusen ver1.5. Good fun for straight blasting, but where's my damned speedup button?! ^_-

I don't know if there is a similar code which can be done on the PCB version of Shippu Mahou, AFAIK it's a Saturn only thing.

I will try it. Have the game, yet never really like the racing aspects. Thanks for the well known code that I DID NOT know! :D

Well that sounds good! I wish the Saturn had gotten a port of Mahou Daisakusen, instead, anyway!
