Hello, I've been wanting to purchase an upscaling unit for quite a while, however the resolution blackout issue on the framemeister completely kills the deal for me. I play a lot of first gen 3d games that I'd imagine change resolutions quite frequently between cutscenes and gameplay.
From what I understand the blackout is simply because of a brief loss of signal that requires the HDCP handshake process to reoccur. If that is the case, would something such as this fix that issue? http://www.vidabox.com/dr-hdmi-doctor-d ... -tool.html
Or perhaps and HDCP stripper of some sort?
If not, does anybody have any suggestions for a unit that will not have this problem. I want something that will work with all my games. I'm currently running an old Sony Trinitron, I have about 4 of them sitting around but everyone of them has some distracting picture flaw that drives me nuts, whether it be a burnt out phosphor or serious geometry issues that can't be corrected.
Thanks!

Re: Framemeister resolution blackout fix
The Mini's output is HDCP-free. For some reason the Mini needs to re-sync the output when it re-syncs the inputs (e.g. during a resolution change). I don't see what you could do about that.
If you need faster transitions you should get a XRGB2 or 3 along with a DVDO machine instead. It's faster than the Mini as well (in terms of lag).
