RQ: Super Darius II Stage 4-G Midboss (Pufferfish) Strategy

OK I'm getting seriously pissed at this. I'm trying to learn the upper course in the game but I cannot figure out any way to avoid being slaughtered by this midboss, and I can't find any vids or resources on the net demonstrating the strategy. It basically point blanks you with massive screen filling spreads and there is no room to dodge because the god damn thing is right in your face. How exactly are you supposed to kill it/dodge the spreads? It's harder than the final boss for fucks sake! Shit design in an otherwise impressive game

Figured it out actually, you point blank his ass right in the eyeball and you'll usually kill him before he kills you. You might take a hit but you should be fine if you have a shield.

In other news point blank bombing Revenge Shark right above his nose is super effective. Everything else in the game seems breezy, the clear is within my grasp
