I have an antique system called a Futura 100.
It outputs 15khz RGB+Sync on a 4BNC connector.
The pedhdcap I can find easily enough and looks perfect for what I want to do but I am curious about how I get the thing cludged up to the Futura?
Where do I buy an Xsync-1 or similar?
What adapters and cables do I need to find or make to get the 4BNC RGB+S output hooked up properly?
Sorry if these are dumb questions, I just haven't found much in terms of cables and connectors or even where to buy a sync splitter that could be attached to my system.
Thanx
Ryan

Do you mean the PEXHDCAP? If so, there's an extensive thread about it here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=37984
You can buy Micomsoft products like the Xsync-1 from Solaris Japan. But in your case a simple BNC to VGA adapter should do the trick.

Yep, I meant the pexhdcap
If I use a simple 4BNC to VGA adapter
I end up with HV combined sync, I didn't think the device could handle that?
Just because I have RGB composite does not change the fact I am still sending out 480i its just over 4 cables, which works great with old Sony broadcast monitors.

It works if you feed composite sync to the H sync line.
However the capture quality is bad, like the sampling is off.
I would suggest to get a X-SYNC1 for best quality.

I was under the impression that the SyncStrike does exactly that. From the SyncStrike thread:alamone wrote:It works if you feed composite sync to the H sync line.
The sync strike cleans the sync signal, by taking RGB+composite video and delivering RGB + pure sync on the output.

So again, I did not notice any method of hooking 4BNC up to the Xsync1, is there any special adapter available for this?
If not maybe I try to pop the unit right into the pexhdcap and see what happens then deal with the Xsync later if I need it.
Thanx

You'll need a BNC to male JP21 adapter. I don't know anywhere that sells this, but if you can do basic soldering, you can make one pretty easily, or you can ask someone who makes and sells cables online to make this for you custom, it shouldn't be a problem as it's very similar to the products they're already hand-making anyway.rmay635703 wrote:So again, I did not notice any method of hooking 4BNC up to the Xsync1, is there any special adapter available for this?
