We're toying with the idea of an STG Weekly shirt. It would pretty much be the STG Weekly logo on a black shirt, with perhaps the STG Weekly ship on the back. Would you guys be in to something like that? Would you buy one? Just an interest check. If you don't wanna make a post, send a note on Twitter perhaps.
That'd be awesome! I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

One thing I love about the environments in that game, is that so many of them are so...multi-layered? Like, you'll have a ground far below, and than walls reaching up to your level, or floating islands or whatever that are closer to you. Really gives a sense of depth to the environments and makes them look and feel more alive than most vertical scrollers IMO.

Streaming an official superplay DVD which is still on sale. I don't think STGWeekly wants to commit suicide.

I think it's safe to assume given those videos have been publically listed on youtube for 3 years (since 2011) without any legal action from Cave that it would be forgivable..:)

Mostly though I would prefer to hear the in game sounds/music without the japanese commentary when the stgweekly dudes arent talking :p

It wouldn't be Cave that takes legal action, it would be INH.
Definitely not a good idea screening a DVD rip on STGW, in my opinion. Both for quality reasons, and for other reasons.

Well, it's completely against twitch TOS. I meant more forgivable by us human beings..:)

Worst case scenario, a non profit channel that is about nothing but love for the genre and trying to bring in more players (therefore potential customers) gets shut down due to a legal slap on the wrist and the powers that be look like wankers.

edit: wow, the quality of those is actually pretty bad, didn't realise at first it only went up to 480p too :p

We are not planning to use any INH footage, don't worry!

Probably going to record some of the best runs from XBL for the various modes.Definitely covering Maniac in great depth; we'd also like to talk about Original, and I can do commentary for Ultra as well since I have a reasonable amount of experience with it. We're thinking about talking about the 1.5 modes in brief as well. but that may or may not happen due to time constraints.

Original Max would be an awesome run to watch if there's a decent replay on Live.

Thanks for the little suggestions for covering 1.5 To be honest I was going to skip over it but it has been demanded so...

Also, Mushi is post-poned to next weekend due to Soda being away, and it will allow us to properly prepare through the week for this episode. We'll see just how thorough we can get without it being too much... and if to include 1.5 stuff.

Maybe hold off on 1.5 and do it as a seperate episode later on down the line?

My personal thought on including 1.5: We can cover the very basics easily enough, since there really aren't that many differences on a fundamental level, but any kind of in-depth discussion would need to be a separate episode.

Great episode. It's been a while since I saw Mushi in action, so it's a little nostalgic.

Looking forward to EoSD. It seems like the simplest Window Touhou, but it's got some neat complexity that makes it very interesting to watch/play.

I've been meaning to say this for a while, but since nobody's said anything yet, I guess I'll say it and break the ice: The episode on Embodiment of Scarlet Devil you guys at STG weekly did was great! Awesome that you got to have Cactu on as one of the guests, as well as Vanhaomena, and, of course, it's always great to hear from chum! :)

I've always wanted to learn how scoring in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil works. I know it's a bit about grazing, but I know there's something more to it than that. I know the world records for EoSD and the methods/techniques associated with it are insane, especially for Lunatic mode! Mentioning all that, this was an educational episode, indeed! :) I should really get back to EoSD, after I get done with what I would like to do for Great Fairy Wars (Yeah, that particular episode about GFW was great, as well! The info there helped me a lot in me getting to 1cc GFW normal mode for the 1st time, and more! (I even 1cc'ed Hard mode for route A1, it was incredible! I really do have to thank you guys at STG weekly for this, as well as chum and Zil! You guys are great! :D)).

Border Down hype, been wondering when it would show up. I thought the EosD episode was excellent, great commentary.

I loved Super Amazing Wagon Adventure... but I have no idea how you're gonna make an STG Weekly scoreplay out of it?

Either way, that'll be a great vid. Def looking forward to it.

We probably won't focus on score play, yeah, we don't know either. :) All we know is that we're going on a Super Amazing Wagon Adventure
