I think Turrican 3D was started, then canned because the developers felt it would suck....

or am I wrong ?
I think you're right. There was a Factor 5 Turrican game scheduled for Game Cube a long time ago.

Final Fight Streetwise is scheduled for 2006.

I also remember rumours about a Splatterhouse 3D. Could've been nice, but probably wouldn't. :)

Splatterhouse 3D would definately rock! Stinks about Turrican-how in the world did Factor 5 ever loose the licsense to this series?!

@BrianC, Pac'N Roll is pretty good, but definately not as good as Marble Madness.

The Moneky Ball games definately also remind me of Marble Madness-and this game for the 360 looks very interesting!

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360 ... 30825.html

Anyone played it yet?

Above all else, though, I would really love ports, PSP or otherwise, of both Solvalou and Solar Assault-I really think it's past time for Namco and Konami to do this.

Speaking of games I wanted to appear in 3D on the N64: A Boy and His Blob, Adventures of Lolo.

1 has endless possibility as a 3D platformer. 2 would be harder to convert as it was all about thinking out the map from an overhead view, but I'd like to see an attempt. Maybe they could show a full screen map before the level or section?

What the heck is "RKA" ?

Adventures of Lolo is the sequel to the MSX game "Eggerland Mystery", if anyone is interested in knowing that... actually, more than 70% of the 1st Adventures of Lolo for NES is made of levels from Eggerland Mystery 1 & 2 for MSX.

I don't think it would work in 3D... but if they HAD to do it... they should have an option where you can ALWAYS see the whole level in an overhead view (And even play on that mode), and to make use of the 3D, the levels could have different floors and elevators. This could make some really interesting puzzles.

Word. I bet it'll have some lame, street, urban, MTV, cool hiphop soundtrack instead of slapbass megafunk, too. :(

I wouldn't say that just yet about Final Fight-it certainly won't be "The Warriors", but that doesn't mean it will be crap, and the gameplay movies I've seen recently look pretty good. It certainly doesn't look like a "hip to the minute update", IMO.

@Rob, I hear 'ya on "A Boy And His Blob", but it will be getting a DS port-according to IGN you'll be able to use the bottom screen to manage the different Jelly Beans. There's excact release date just yet, but if you have a DS, you might want to pick this one up when it's released.

I've never played Castlevania on the N64, I would like to at some point-I'm very curious about it, as I'll I've seen is a speed-run of the game on archive.org.

I think that Mega Man can be done right in 3D-I played some Mega Man Legends once, and loved the way Capcom did that game.

It looks like Beat Down and Urban Reign and both of those games blew IMO...

Dude, i want that eighties street fight vibe, y'know. I want big hair, bandanas, chicks in ripped up tank tops, big hoop earings. I want switchblades, mohawks, leather jackets and karate chops. Metro City was one happenin' place back in the day. From the looks of it now it's just like everywhere else.

So basically it looked like every other place back in the eighties?

River City Ransom!

I bet it would look great with cel-shaded graphics. It would be funny to hear the guys say BARF! when you knock them out. But I wonder, are they vomiting or just saying BARF! as their final words?

That would be a cool game to see in 3D! I think they made the characters say "BARF" because, well, they couldn't actually do vomit in an 8-bit game. At least not like the first boss in Contra Shattered Soldier!

I still say Final Fight looks like a great translation-you have life-bars and other features that the first game had, and it the gameplay looks very similar, except in 3D. I miss the 80's too, dude, but it's 2005!

Super Off-Road
Damn yes. That or Rock & Roll Racing. Yea, I know there was a PS1 follow up, but it sucked hard. Why didn't they keep the gameplay and just upgrade the graphics? Wankers.

Uniracers.

Why has no one said Uniracers yet?
The radio said, "No, John. You are the demons."
And then, John was a zombie.

I could've sworn there was a RCR 3D project a few years ago. I think it was for PC and then got canned.

Didn't Linkin Park's popularity burn out a while ago? They're certainly not 2005. 2002, probably.

I often dream of a third Actraiser game that has 2D playing action stages like the original as well as the city building stages (uhm, acts, sorry :P ). I'd want all of this to be 2D and possibly done with a different kind of brush or shading technique like the intro to UNLIMITED SaGa or something. But in addition I'd want more human-related stuff happening. Like being able to control the leaders of cities you've reconquered and have them go around and negotiate/start battles/etc. I'd want this aspect to be in 3D and have Rome: Total War.

I really miss all those hybrid strategy PC games that would throw a bunch of great elements together, have a well designed world with lots of background information and just let you go at it.
