Kan and the previous collection were only sold through Amazon.jp exclusively - "import stores" like Nin-nin, Play-Asia and Nippon-Yasan are buying their supplies from Amazon and selling to you with their profit tacked on top. Because of this, Nin-nin is a customer of Amazon.

Understanding this, the issue is if Amazon shared Nin-nin's, or anyone customer's personal information (phone numbers or otherwise) with Cave without the customer's permission.
I understand, however, although the email is short and not very informative, it doesn't imply that customer's information was shared, it could be that cave called NIN-NIN individually to inform them of this problem and then NIN-NIN decides to give cave the quantity that they bought from Amazon. If that is the case, there isn't a breach of privacy.

Actually, this is exactly what it does imply. Nin-nin claimed Cave contacted them, right? How? It's one per customer (quantity would be irrelevant), and nobody has any interaction with Cave. Cave couldn't possibly have contacted Nin-nin without Amazon's help.

Anyway, it looks like I will be getting a replacement install disc within the next 2 weeks. Looking forward to it.

Ah, I see what you mean now, in other words, how would Cave know to contact NIN-NIN. Anyway, from who and when did you get confimation of replacement install discs?

I just wanted to confirm I got the exact same e-mail. I will wait for Nin Nin's replacement disc then.

- Kan's install disc not include the newer DLC as advertised, why?
- on booting the disc, it shows the non-Kan splash screen (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BoTIR_TIAAAHFhT.jpg)

- according to another Amazon reviewer, this install disc is identical to the previous release's install disc. Even the filesize and dates modified when sticking it into a PC are exactly the same. I can test this myself if anyone actually cares.
So, to sum up the whole thing: The problem with the install disc inside the "Kan" box is that it IS the same disc as the one from the first release of the collection?
A few pages earlier on this very same post 2 of our comrades said something about an issue which wouldn't let you install multiple features at once (no more than 7 or 8 per round w/o having to reset the console) Is that also confirmed?
Are there any other issues with this release?

Thanks for the info! :)

Not really an "issue" in my opinion, but aren't there some people that got a sticker on their box and some that didn't?

I keep seeing references to the extra DLC in the new disk (missing one). Has that been quantified yet? Are we just talking about the Xbox dashboard themes?

You mean that because supposedly this "broken" disc is still able to install everything?

I didn't catch whats going on with the dlc disc either. So it has a problem installing the content that is for sure, but what I don't get it what does it mean the Kan collection with a sticker and without it??
And is the new DLC content on it or not, and Cave only threw in the old disc without the new 7 added extra DLC??

No, I was talking about the sticker on the box. I don't know if the original collection had a sticker on the box, and some people on the last page mentioned that was on this collection. Just a minor difference question...

I ordered from Amazon Japan too, but had it shipped through Tenso and they were nice enough to make the phone call for me and order the replacement disc so I didn't have to deal with it. I haven't received it yet since they just made the call a couple days ago but I must say that was pretty nice of them for doing that.

I'll definitely use their service again for having such good customer service.

Does one have to send in the old disc to get the new one?
If not then I am really interested in buying someones old dlc disc.

So the discs are exactly the same and people only want to get a replacement disc because of some useless sticker? Are you guys serious?!

Ok now I got it.
No, the main point of having a replacement disc it is cause that the DLC disc in the Kan collection should have 7 new dlc's but apparently the disc bundled is just the same as the previous collection lacking that Dlc. lame and cheap Cave, lame and cheap.

Hi here, I also got one CAVE Shooting Collection Kan through Tenso.
But I have email to Amazon JP, Tenso and they said they have nothing can do.
I phone to local Xbox support and they said the game is from third party, so nothing can do too.

The DLC disk is usable, but the content is the one from last collection and missed some new contents.
I am struggling on how to get my DLC Disk:|

^^ This.

If people end up with duplicates/spares then there would certainly be a market for those...

I read somewhere that said sticker was being given to people in some stores and it's function was to simply add the word "Kan" to the game box, since it is lacking that word... From that we can imply that the original collection didn't need that sticker because it wasn't the "Kan" release.

So what kind of DLC is it missing? Is it awfully relevant? With this "flawed" disc will we be able to install, for instance, Ketsuipachi?

Man, this is so confusing...

"Ketsupachi" (daifukkatsu black label arrange) is not dlc. It is an on-disc game mode.

My mistake, I don't recall where did I read it was available as a DLC too, thanks for clarifying that to me though!

Anyway...the main question is still on: What kind of DLC is the "flawed" disc missing?

From the updated Cave Shooting Collection Kan html, the missing dlc looks like just some picture/theme packs for Akai Katana and Futari 1.5

・アイコンパック1 月華
・アイコンパック2 帝国
・プレミアムテーマ1 月華
・プレミアムテーマ2 帝国
(and)
虫姫さまふたりver1.5

So, in ordering through NCSX, Nippon Yasan or play asia,
You don't have to send your original dlc disc back at all?
New dlc discs will just be sent out?

I want to make sure all the details before I email Nippon Yasan, etc...
This would be the ideal scenario for me (just getting the newer dlc without having to send anything back), since I chose the slow boat registered method and have to wait about 3 months to get my two orders of "pauper kan edition."

You keep the collection the sent you, including the old disc, and they ship out a new one separately.

So you end up with the old one that came with it and a new DLC disc which arrived separately.

I hope that answers people's questions.

Also, this is what I told Tenso and they helped me:
I recently had package #XXXXXXXXXXXX sent to you. After ordering the item
in that package I received an email from Amazon stating that there was a
problem with the package and that I could receive a replacement disc by calling
a number in Japan. The replacement disc is free ($0.00).

I am looking for someone to call and get the replacement for me.
Is that something you could do as part of your "Buying Service" for me? I
am willing to pay your normal Buying Service fees of course.
I then included a copy of the email from Amazon.co.jp and they took care of it for me and did not charge me for the buying service fee.

May we know what was that number Amazon told you to call to so you could get the replacement disc? I bought my collection copy from ArcadeGear, maybe they can figure it out by themselves but if I could tell them the number they should call to, it would make things smoother, I guess... Thanks in advance!
