RQ: X-Multiply Stage 7

I was having a helluva time with Stage 7 last night for some reason. Whenever I got inside that place, I let the two balls fly past me, but then after a few seconds they form tentacles and there's no way to destroy them.

Any hints? This is killing me.

you mean that wall thing after the section with the indestructible balls bouncing off walls?

you can destroy it, I think I used the yellow weapon. Try to retreat in front of it, so your tentacles are constantly touching it.
