New to shmup genre need game recommendations

Hello forum,

Ive been a member of this forum for a while now but I only used it to sell a few of the games I had.

I have been interested in getting into the shmup genre for a long time because of games like dodonpachi that I enjoy watching.

so I have a ps3 xbox 360 and a pc that will be able to run any shmup. I just need recommendations.

I know there are a bunch of region free shmups that I plan to buy soon for the xbox 360
