I hate the IIDX boards at bemanistyle. And I'm posting this here because I'll get banned if I posted over there, and sometimes they have some useful info.

But Holy cow gosh golly gee whiz, the moderator there is a freaking tyrant! It kind of says something when 70% of the topics on the first page are locked. Not only does he lock your threads, he will quote your post, then say something snarky to make you feel stupid, and then lock the thread. Just have a look at almost any locked topic and you'll see what I mean. It's just amazing he can be such a good IIDX player when he must have been born with a stick up his bum.

Naturally, the environment is not very welcoming for newcomers. My rant for the day.

Oh, and shmups forum is great. I love you guys!

Thats not moderation, thats a dictatorship

Shmups is quite well balanced, apart from the expected few there really isn't anything bad to say about this forum. And even then those few are generally very good members so its all good!

I am a moderator at a different forum and we have a staff forum dedicated to just admins/mods. We kind of work around a system where nobody can act alone unless its absolutely necessary. Therefore if an act is carried out and ammendments are made, at least 2 people will have known about it and carried the action out. Nobody plays God.
