So you can't save your level in Elemental Gearbolt?

i thought it was cool how you can use your point to level up and get stronger, but apparently you can't even save your level? When you select load memory card from the options menu, what are you doing then? I figured an rpg shooter where you level up, you'd be able to save your status like any other rpg... bah i'm pissed...

Your scores and unlocked stuff, of course. It's still more a score-based lightgun shooter than an RPG; after all, getting both exp. and then score later would be totally unfair.

what's the difference between training, normal, and hard modes, do you always have to go back to the start of the level when you die? are there any PS1 light gun games that are like house of the dead 2 where you can collect weapons you've found and save them for later play throughs?

thanks

IIRC, the difficulties just determine the damage you take and do. Also, you can't beat the game in training difficulty.

And yes, you always go back to the start of the stage. However, I'm pretty sure when you're playing with 2 players, you will continue from exactly where you were unless both players die at the same time.

I don't believe there are any PS shooters that save weapons between games but I could certainly be wrong.
