Question about the Extron 203 vs Sync Strike and PCCapturing
Been doing a lot of reading and I'm ready to take the RGB plunge, living in the US I have limited access to SCART accessories so VGA is my next best option. I would also like to add RGB capture via VGA to my current setup that uses an ATI TV Wonder 750 for S-Video and Composite by adding the Startech PEXHDCAP card which is a clone of the Micomsoft one. I'm wondering if the Extron 203 Rxi can handle the duties of the Sync Strike, judging by what I've read it should, i've already got a free Extron VGA to 5BNC break out cable from work and was hoping to get a female SCART to 4BNC break out cable (R,G,B and Sync) and marry the two into the Extron 203 Rxi and then go 5 BNC (R,G,B,H,S) to VGA into the Startech for RGB capturing bliss. Will this work or am I missing something? Would I still need to buy a Sync Strike and/or make my own SCART to VGA/BNC cables? Also have read that the lag is fine for capturing and playing back live on the same monitor.

Re: Question about the Extron 203 vs Sync Strike and PCCaptu
The Extrons only work with clean sync, which not all of sources might be able to provide. They were also never meant for 15khz video. While it usually works, it can cause problems.
