Advance Wars DS

A bit late to the party, just picked this up today (along with Sonic Rush), and have played through a few campaign missions already. Being a bit of a closet fan of the first two Advance Wars (and other similar strategy games) I couldn't resist picking this up for my newly minted DS, and am very impressed with it so far. Very intuitive controls (fun with the stylus), simple but pretty insanely addictive gameplay, and it'll last ages. Played it against my friends using game sharing, and it's a blast (pun intended).

The only gripe is that it's not online playable, but that is mainly because playing lagfree Mario Kart DS has kind of spoiled me ^_-

Anyone else playing? Got any tips? ^_- (And is anyone getting Battallion Wars on the GC?)

I'm not into the whole stratagy thing, but Advance Wars DS is a pretty fun came and I may pick it up down the road.

I heard Battllion Wars wasn't a very good game.

From who and what exactly did you hear? I heard otherwise, though I also heard that the game isn't perfect.

I love strategy games so much, but they require such dedication and time to get anywhere with them. For that reason I never really got far with the original Advance Wars. The concept and execution were great; just not the right fit with my life.

If you want an online Advance Wars style game check out Battalion: Head 2 Head for the pc. I haven't tried it but I've heard good things. It's freeware by the way.

I had bought "Advance Wars DS" months ago. And I think it would be a great game.

Haven't tried it yet even I want, as I didn't own a DS yet...
