Post by uncletom »

I did a search but nothing came up. So I figured I'd start this the topic myself.

Have anyone played this interesting shmup? What do you think about the game?

Of course! It had the 1943 weapons system before 1943 was released! UPL 4 ever.

:P Haha.. hey there Empi! I'm happy that you at least know about this awesome, and pretty underrated shmup.

Even though it is a hard game, I keep dying all the time, I love the basic idea with guns & bombs. Also the game sounds are very good I think. Sadly not so much the musik.

I Counter Stopped it back when it came out in the arcades. I also CS'd it again a few years ago when I bought the PCB. There was a high score thread for it here, but I can't find it now....?
I have my Counter Stop photo. The score starts again from 0.

I seriously doubt you'll find one. But you don't need one anyway. Just get the big circular firepower and you should wipe through it.

Thanks for the tip there Del, yes, I have little doubt that I could learn to perform almost as well as you. But I need something to watch with my morning coffee. I'm getting pretty bored with my current atheists VS christians mornings. It kind of never .. evolves.

Ohh.. I see. Thank you Empi.

But, a more careful look reveals that it isn't the arcade version. Or is it?

I don't follow you. It looks like the arcade version. I think it's even captured from the PCB.

I see. Well, the greys are all yellow and the ground textures don't look right. It could ofcourse be artifacts due to insufficient capture equipment, or wild compression.

Anyway I will be enjoying the clip the coming mornings. Thanks Empi.
