Framerate is currently beautiful! Seems to fluctuate very slightly with vsync off but only as much as you'd expect from games with vsync off, and didn't notice gameplay stutter from it.

A small bug I've noticed in the last 10 minutes of playing: Replays are being saved with name "AAA" even when I have my default name saved as something else.

I will brew some more fires until next weekend, but for now - I am done. I have linear algebra waiting for me.
Linear algebra ? Most pleasant part of maths, eveything is so smooth in here, yummy.

Aero Chimera ? Looks really good. Any chance of a XBLA release ?

Thanks a lot for this. I'm liking it a lot, though I suck at it!!
I reckon you could have charged for the game. I've definitely paid for worse, lol.

"SUPER DIFFICULT STG" tagline wasn't fucking around.

Attack patterns get very creative towards the end of the game. Garegga-like boss rush during stage 4 is probably my favourite part so far. I haven't reached stage 6 yet though. I kinda hope the difficulties would be more fine tuned instead of simply adding autobomb and some extra lives on Novice - maybe there are some other changes but I couldn't tell. So far the stage 5 boss feels insurmountable for my skill set... Then again bullet hells aren't really my forte but this one manages to feel suprisingly fresh.

Yea no kidding, that super difficult STG tagline wasn't joking.

I was surprised to hear the usual suspects playing on novice, and I had no idea how insane it was going to be even then. Despite how insane stage 5 and 6 are and how ridiculously hard it is even on notice, I'm still having a lot of fun with it. Managed to finally squeeze out a 0/0 clear with Type 4 which I love to death. This definitely gives a Raizing + Psikyo + Cave feel. If you like Raizing and/or Psikyo I would suggest checking it out, but be warned that the last 2 stages are ruthless.

The direction you need to go with this SAS depends on if you want this to be a scoring game, or just a balls hard stg. Trying to mix the two at the same time is pretty brutal and stage 6 pretty much forces you to throw score out the window entirely.

Thanks for your feedback. Glad you folk have been enjoying it.
Well yeah. Now that it has been out for a while, I have gotten some hear about bugs ( especially that desyncing where I have also received hints to what's causing it ), which is why I am probably going to release a 1.01 patch at some point. Purpose in general is to fix the desync bug, the replay names and maybe lessen the difficult of stage 6 and in general ( such as reduce the impact of the rank ). This sort of stuff is bit hard to catch with one-man team.

However, the release won't be a while because I am somewhat busy with schoolstuff and completely engulfed by Dark Souls 2. If not before June, then definitely in June.

Maybe I will make a damn trailer and cover image by then...

I have been thinking of opening donations-thing on Paypal to fund my irresponsible shit living and maybe some of next project ( which will not be a STG, but will be inspired by such. I will eventually need to hire some people ). I am just not familiar with legalities of such things.

Loving your game dude, it's kicking my ass! I'd be more than willing to throw some money your way as thanks, if you set up a donation page. I'm always in favour of good work getting rewarded.

I think the issue is more the opposite. Even Novice is fucking brutal and that has rank forced to 0. If you made the difficulty more rank-based, it might work out better.

Got a chance to play this btw - at first I didn't really like it. Then I sorta realised that my issues were mainly with the default bullet colours. Cagar directed me to the options menu (I really hadn't looked - which I'll come back to in a sec) and said I could set bullet colours there.... suddenly with the pink bullets, everything was okay!

It's very hard, but pretty intuitive. I've really not read much about this game at all - and I haven't been following its progress.

So about that options thingy - kinda wanted to congratulate you on creating a game that is really intuitive. Everything just kinda functioned as expected and even though the game is batshit hard - this made it really accessible. Good work there.

I only spotted the bomb fragment system after a little bit - which was a very nice surprise since I'm doing something very similar! Since I've not spoken to anyone about this game other than Cagar's pointer to the option menu, I really have been figuring everything out as I go.

Not quite sure how the scoring works, though a quick stroll past Emusers stream suggests that medals aren't so important. So I'll figure that out later.

Anyway - well done!
