I suppose rancor is alright too, even though he's somewhat a noob.

Then there are the folks who inspire and occasionally encourage me to actually get better at these games, namely Plasmo, Icarus, DEL, NTSC-J, Eaglet, Emuser, and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting.

The STGweekly dudes: Aqy, F-man, Softdink, Soda, Trap15, etc.

Blackoak and Gaijinpunk for translations, and being cool.. might as well throw Emphatic in there since he's cool too.

The other old school mods who hold it down: spadgy, BulletMagnet, nZero, Shatterhand, undamned, Ghegs, Dave_K.

I feel I should also say all the people from the forum I've met in real life; some on my travels to other countries who have acted as hosts, and the members that I met first in the forum before meeting with regularly at arcades in London (past and present regulars). Way too many to thank here without me forgetting somebody, but it's been great to make some true friends. I've gone raving with some of you, hung out in living rooms to play shmups in continents I've literally visited for just 36 hours, had amazing help over my shoulder from truly skilled players, travelled long journeys with you to attend arcade events, and much more. Anybody who gets out there and meets fellow players and attends/organises meets or puts up travelling shmuppers in their places is automatically an all-star!

And all the wicked traders. So much generosity and good vibes in my experience there.

I would give kudos to Gaijinpunch because he helped get me off on my import gaming spree through his proxy service.

rancor also deserves a honorable mention for running a sweet little shmup shop online and for helping me start my PC shmup collection.
