Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow on one cart, coming out in February. Since I've had trouble finding both of these, I'll definitely have to pick this up.

From what people tell me you'd be saving money by importing the US version. While doubtful, it might come out at 19.99 USD like some of the other double packs.
Harmony of Dissonance is a pretty crummy game IMO. Aria is great stuff though. I'm glad more people will be able to get this game without either picking up a dirty bare cartridge used or shelling out more than they should have to on Amazon/Ebay/etc. for a boxed version.
Now will this make the price of the originals go down because this will be cheaper and more readily available? Or will it make them go up by raising awareness of the franchise (these double packs sell like crazy in the US to parents that want a good deal for their kids, doesn't even matter what games are in them)?

Those double packs usually contain crappy TV show based games like Spongebob Squarepants or Scooby Doo.these double packs sell like crazy in the US to parents that want a good deal for their kids, doesn't even matter what games are in them
This Castlevania double pack however, is making me drool. AoS was a great game.
As for the single carts, I don't know if Dawn of Sorrow will read the double pack, they may become collector's items.
Shmups: It's all about blowing stuff up!
I've seen boxed copies of AoS a couple of times in stores, but passed on them because of the price tag (and the fact that I didn't have anything to play GBA stuff on at the time.) I'm especially wary of purchasing GBA carts on eBay since it seems that 75% of them are counterfeits, so it's nice to have a chance to pick up a legit copy of AoS, regardless of the price.
I'm just hoping that they stop fucking around with the Super Mario Advance series and just stick em' all on one cart, Super Mario Allstars Style.Neo Rasa wrote:It would be great if Nintendo did a third NES Classics GBA series for the US and, hell, put JUST Konami games on it.circuitface wrote:Damn, i've already got those. I was hoping it would be Simon's Quest and Dracula's Curse.

Circle of the Moon is my favorite of the three GBA CVs. I love all the movement options in it like how running and then jumping changes the forward momentum and distance of the jump. I like how the levels are all made so that they're fun to navigate no matter which abilities you've unlocked so far (Harmony of Dissonance's biggest failing among many IMO).
You know what I'd like to see in this package? (even if we all know that it will just end to be two roms in one cart with no change)
...
I'd like to finally receive something for that furniture collecting in HoD. Anything would do: a cutscene with a dialogue, a new boss... A warp gate that throws Juste in 1999 or in 2035 where he meets Soma--
-Okay okay, let's get back to planet Earth, Turrican.

My Trying Not To
Well, yeah. First thing I did when I got the first model of the GBA SP was play Circle of the Moon. Played it again when I got the DS.circuitface wrote:Speaking of all of this... have any of you guys played the new GBA's with the better screen yet? I just got one two days ago... Circle of the Moon looks fucking spectacular now!
In both instances, all that did was make a game I didn't particularly enjoy playing easier to see.
