Hrm... critical mass has a fantastic combat engine and I'm surprised more people haven't copied it, but it's built entirely around jinking to avoid homing missiles. The preview video just shows direct-fire beams and bolts. I hope this doesn't turn into another "Valley without wind" debacle.
Then again, keeping a Drox Operative-style game limited to a single solar system is probably a smart move, as Drox can get ridiculously difficult to manage in larger systems.
They promise a demo soon..

Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.
An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.

Interesting. I stopped playing AI war solely because the game was so awesome, it took up too much of my time.
