I'm not interested but thank goodness an exclusive DC game seems to be the one that will end the system's legacy rather than a game that earned sales solely by hardcore support and then sold out to make more money.
neoalphazero wrote: A bit more info and a conflicting price point (5800 yen) and date (2/26) to what Gamefront mentions.
The price part is actually no discrepancy. 5800 yen is pre-tax; 6090 yen is post-tax.

Lemme go off-topic for a second here...

Anyone else kinda miffed that Triangle Service never put up a "Thank You" message?

Well, I'll be damned. I was quite sure that Trizeal was the last thing I was going to buy for my ol' DC. I would have preferred Under Defeat, but hey, I'll take it. It looks fun enough from the vids I've seen.

So yeah, *preorders*.

@Biocat: Your avatar describes my reaction.

Fudge, yeah. I couldn't afford Border Down, I lost interest in Trizeal (didn't have money for it either) but I am getting this to show my shooting love. Screw Senko No Ronde (as good as it is, they're not going to get my money since I don't have a 360). I hope this sells well so then Under Defeat gets ported, as there is enough of an installed user and fan base to guarantee profits.

I'll only be able to afford Ibara, sadly. Why do they have to release everything in the same month? The same shit happened with Trizeal and Dragon Blaze.

And my 'inside sources' told me about this months ago, you losers.

Yikes, February will be expensive, with Ibara and Gradius PSP collection and now this, but WOW! I'll have to preorder this for sure, I'm not letting this one pull a Border Down/Trizeal on me this time!

Why? They made a product, and people bought it. Business. No thank you necessary.

I never bought the game but I will second what Gaijin said. Considering the creator BEGGED fans almost literally telling us we were his last hope...I mean,c'mon. Even the R-TYPE games at least thank you for playing. :P

I always interpreted the photo of Fujino giving an enthusiastic thumbs-up was his way of thanking us. Not to mention he did have a bunch of prizes made for the on-line score competition (which I'm pretty sure he funded directly).

Plus, he gave all of us who pre-ordered a bonus music CD and a bandana.

All right! I was hoping that we'd see this one on DC. Intricate game play, party-popping visuals, bouncy music, spectacular explosions... That laser might even give Trizeal's a run for its money! Definitely looking forward to playing this.

I agree that the game probably won't be exclusive to DC, unless statistics show that both other ports of Chaos Field sold grossly under expectation (which is somewhat unlikely). Regardless, I'm of course partial to the NAOMI-DC "same hardware" ports. Count me in for pre-orders, as soon as I can remember whether I should get the padded envelope, or the box...

Specineff: Kudos for adding an IMO necessary DC reference to the thread. It's in SPAIN.

(A lot of people seem to feel bitter or antagonistic towards Triangle Service about the whole Trizeal PS2 port thing, but I don't think that they're simply going to step on those of us whom helped them to get there. I'm wondering if we'll hear a peep from them after December 30th.)

Skyline: I seem to recall seeing the president of the company with his thumb up in a picture, or something like that, in an editorial on Sega.jp -- But, I think that you're right. He probably means to finally archive those SOS messages and put something like "thanks for all your support" up there, but, hey. As long as he continues to fight the scroll shooting fight, I feel pretty good about it. Besides, Trizeal is fun as all get-out. :D

Edit- Kiken beats me to the thumbs-up. Good call on the bonus disc and bandana, too!

Let's hope so; I could always find a little more reason to appreciate Sega's consoles.

Late to the party as usual...
...I'm still not quite sure what to make of this one. Amazing it is coming out on the DC but is it an amazing game? The game mechanics look strange but it may be a hell of a lot of fun (unlike Chaos field), so who knows?

I like the fact that this one actually has enemies to kill instead of boss after boss.

Looks semi-cute and happy somewhat.

According to Gamefront today, Sega will be selling a DC bundle on it's Sega Direct website which includes a Japanese Dreamcast, Rajirugi, and a collectible phone card. It will retail at 15800 yen or $133. Sega did a similar thing when they released Puyo Puyo Fever to DC but it's really weird to see them offer it with a third party game.

Not directly, but someone on Neo-Geo can usually do it for a fee.

I'm pretty sure Yakumo, of RetroCore fame, will do orders through Sega Direct for non-Japanese residents.

Yakumo at ASSembler will do it, also for a fee. Not sure if he's taking orders for the DC bundle. You do realize it'll run about 6,000 yen for shipping to the US, right?
