Hi guys.
In a week or two, my newly modded PS2 will arrive and i am looking for a nice stick to go with the shmups.
I know of the Namco, but what else is there which can be recommended?

HRAPs in every color and combination you can imagine. Sanwa Stick / Hori Buttons, Full Sanwa (SA), Full Seimitsu (SE).

They're certainly more expensive than their PS3 & 360 counterparts. If anyone wants to sell me a PS2 HRAP with a Seimitsu stick you can go ahead & name your price.

Re: Which stick for PS2?
I recommend to avoid the Hori Tekken 5 Anniversary stick. The mounting plate is soldered onto the plate plus some 30mm push buttons won't fit because of the protruding tabs that anchor the previous buttons. That's a minor detail if you do have tools to handle it.

I still use my HRAP 2 SA. This guy does a good write up of it. It's a beast but has lasted me years.

I use the good ol Namco PS1 stick on my PS2, works like a charm and is probably one of the best options if you prefer a smaller stick.

That's what I use too. I've had it nearly 15 years and it's a gem.drunkninja24 wrote:I use the good ol Namco PS1 stick on my PS2, works like a charm and is probably one of the best options if you prefer a smaller stick.
