Sending PM via shmups.com forums delay!...

I noticed that when ever I send a PM to any member of the forum, it will often remain for hours in the "Outbox" folder before it is actually sent to the appropriate recipient.

I was wondering if this is a general "problem" concerning the PM Service provided by these forums & if other users have experienced similar problems?

It will move to the Sentbox when the recipient has logged in and received it.

The person you sent it to might not be online yet. Patience :)

I received an email weeks ago saying I had a new PM. To date, it still hasn't shown up on the actual board here.

Email notifications of new PMs here is sometimes buggy. But the PM always stays in your Outbox until the recepient actually clicks on it to read it, then it gets moved to your Sentbox.

Yeah, I was confused about this for the longest time. I don't like clutter so I usually deleted my PMs out of my outbox ASAP, thinking it was just message confirmation... I feel bad now for all those people who thought I just ignored their PMs...
