REALLY??? Some times Cave can amaze you with good and bad things but I won't be so sure.Release is two months ahead so everything can happen. Let's wait and see. Now they have officially stated a second print with Saidaijou and later they will say that It will include something else to milk fans.

I think it's safe to say we won't be getting the soundtracks.

Yup you're right the safest bet is to think no extras this time around.
Anyway I'll keep my fingers crossed. By the way were the Extra Soundtracks the official ones or just a compilation of the OST's included with the LE of the games?

Time won't tell. The product page says exactly what I wrote, which explicitly mentions that the soundtrack CD isn't included this time.
※サウンドトラックCDは、前回「ケイブシューティングコレクション」の購入特典となります。
今回は付属いたしません。
Says that the soundtrack CD was a purchase bonus last time and this time it isn't included.

Alright, then those who bought the first collections should recall the price difference between the newest one and the first. If the second release is a bit higher, then there will probably be another bonus. I don't think including SDOJ would outweigh the value of all those OSTs. However, with all the more experienced comments, I'm thinking I should prepare for the worst so that I would either be pleasantly surprised or not be affected with anger/disappointment.

The original release was 24,800 on Amazon.jp, the reprint is 26,784.

Consumption tax changed April 1st from 5% to 8% in Japan, making what would normally be 24,800 now 26,784. Both releases are fundamentally the same price, with the same contents, the only difference is SDOJ is included instead of the soundtrack.

I'd imagine SDOJ is a far bigger deal than the soundtracks.

I'll tell you when I'll get it. Also noting that not everyone who purchased the first collection got the extra soundtracks, since some dealers rapped those people cause they came in a separated box.

That depends, not if there's a standard disc in a paper sleeve tucked in there or there's a platinum version attached to the outside of the box with rubber banding like the OST box with the first version  .

I thought the 10 disc soundtrack bonus box was pretty cool .

Cave waited on purpose so that we would get taxed more?! :P

So, is the dlc disc been confirmed with the new collection? Cause the only way to fit all the disc with saidaioujou in the original packaging is to leave one disc out. So i guess their might cut out the dlc disc.

Thxs, might think twice. So we might get new packaging. The original wasn't bad, i never liked it tho. Maybe this time they will be some polish on it. Can we see it before pre order.

I would think they would include Saidaioujou in a paper sleeve. I wouldn't expect them to change up the who packaging for it. The picture of the box from the cave web page looks to be the same exact box from the first release. Or maybe they'll include the DLC disc in a paper sleeve. Just a guess.

As far as the soundtracks go, the ones included with the LE's are the Arranged soundtracks, and the ones included with the first release of the shooting collection were the Original sountracks. That was a big plus for the first printing. :)

NCSX has preorders up: http://www.shopncsx.com/caveshootingcollection-1.aspx

$400. Fuck that.

My favorite part is that they say: " Reservations for the new collection are welcome to ship on or around May 2014 at JPY29,176 or US$399."

Guys, it's not 2010. I know how to use xe.com.

According to the Google translated text under the image: "The image is an image. There is the case that is different from the real product." Good to know that's it's an image, but it sounds like there might be a different box this time in some way.

They stated that they must use an abnormal middleman to source these. Whoever is inserted into the middle takes a cut. They aren't trying to fudge a currency conversion. It was even in the same paragraph.

"Please note this item is a special order item and requires additional vendor handling and shipping to import the product into the United States."

The way they stated it made it sound like "yeah, 29,000 yen is totally $400, guys." But in any case, I can still order it from Amazon Japan, using Tenso or something, and get the set for like $100 less than they're charging, so I have no idea where their price tag came from.

For $400, they should be sending one of their employees to hand deliver it to me and superplay through Saidaioujou.

LOL

I secured my pre-order through Nin-Nin because I don't have a credit card atm and they accept PayPal. Just to compare prices: how much is each person paying for this? Included shipping, my order totaled around $395 CAD which is around $364 USD, did anyone here get a better deal?

Sure, people living in japan are gtteing it for 270$ that is the great deal.
It will be interesting to see if it rockets its price after release just like the first one. I hope not so that everyone who wants it really gets it.

$353.08 USD for me.

And the charge cleared on my account so if you use Paypal for Nin-Nin for a pre-order consider it a purchase. Same experience I have had at other shops.

Edit:
Why does NCSX say Daifukkatsu v1.5 was replaced with Resurrection?

I hope that's a typo, because the CSC-Kan main site still shows DFK and SDJ in the same page.

I'm pretty sure everyone here in Japan already owns all of these games though... DLC disc is nice, but not $300 nice. I have the only DLC that matters already anyhow (Mushi 1.5). I can't imagine why someone would buy this if they already owned these games...
