This time, even more tracks! Go TSUKUMOHYAKUTARO! :)

One of the new sample tracks is located here.

(P.S., yes it's done by him, check the artist name there; FACTORY NOISE is often associated with him)

Unfortunately not.

Even more surprising is that you're the only one really responding to this thread. What happened to all that Thunder Force vibe here? :(

Whoa, ho, HO!!! Somebody say Thunder Force?

Is this the same one that has the songs from TFVI? Or is that something entirely different?

Yeah, if any info on this surfaces by all means post it. I love the cover art!

Nate - If you notice, that cover art is done by Garrow, who is working on a doujin Thunderforce game called Thunderforce Forever - he's got lots of other fanart work on his website too (I don't have the link available at the moment, but it's easy to find.)

My copy of this OST arrived today :)

It's nicely presented, with "Project Thunder Force VI BROKEN THUNDER" written inside the booklet and on the disc itself, and with artwork in the booklet of "Fire Leo-03 Styx", "Fire Leo-04 Rynex", "RVR-01 Gauntlet EX-CUSTOM", and the "RVR-02 Vambrace CUSTOM" starfighters.

There's also a paragraph or more of information about each ship in the booklet, in japanese - unfortunately I don't have a scanner or I could upload pics so someone could translate...

One of the tracks towards the end of this disc "Cyber Cave -Sunset Clouds-" is actually a blues-rock guitar cover of the Stage 4 ("Guardian's Guardian") BGM from Thunder Force V... that has to be heard to be believed. It's a raw shmup song to listen to in a smokey club sharing a bottle of whiskey with shmup buddies, while paying tribute to a legendary bygone shmup series. "Steel Of Destiny -Cry Sky-", a lingering piano and synth re-arrangement of TFV Stage 1, is also a nice surprise. Meanwhile the main draw of this release, the Thunder Force VI intended tracks themselves, are adrenalin pumping Saturn-era Technosoft electro synth compositions, in the spirit of Blast Wind and Thunder Force V. This CD contains 76 minutes of music and probably has something for every shmup music fan.

I guess you guys got the EMS shipping then, huh? Or am I just unlucky when it comes to airmail service (笑) Which reminds me, I need to get my Christmas crap shoved out into the mail pretty soon here...

Steel of Destiny was the BGM from the 5th stage of TFV. Which is the arrangement, St. 1 or St. 5? Also, how did the TFIV arrangements turn out? Very much looking forward to this disc arriving, loved Full Metal Goddess from the first set.

What's interesting is that the 3 fighters on the cover are: RVR-1 Gauntlet from TFV, The enhanced RVR-1 & Styx from TFIII, but not Rynex from TFIV.
There is also another blue fighter just above-right Rynex, but it's not very clear.

Ahh, you're right that's Stage 5. And the TFIV stuff is good too... I'll leave others to comment on those in more detail though, as I've been mostly listening to the TFV/TFVI tracks for the time being.

Actually a small Rynex is also visible on the cover, it is located right next to the title logo.

I believe that fighter pictured to the left of the Gauntlet (also pictured larger inside the booklet) is the Fire-Leo-05P Syrinx, the starfighter that seems to be the alleged focus of Thunder Force VI...

Yes you're right.
I just noticed that.

Does anyone have a hi-res version of that CD cover to post here?
