Hi,
I bought a 14l5 a few months ago for use on a project of mine - rebuilding an Atari 800xl on an fpga. With optional 576p support too.
Seems there are a lot of people using these great monitors here who may be able to help me - please:)
When it arrived it had purity problems. It came from
the USA to Switzerland, too expensive to return. Red is yellow for the centre top 10%. The seller suggested degaussing and adjusting the yolk position. The former did not help. Adjusting the yolk backwards/forwards does change the balance, there is an almost vertical line where it switches red to yellow. The sides switch as I move the yolk. But the vertical line rotates so its always yellow on top! I'll see about posting some pics here tonight.
I got a copy of the service manual. I think I need to adjust the purity rings. However they seem locked solid, perhaps glued. Is this the right thing to do and is there a trick to release them?
I really hope someone here can help. If not anyway in Europe want to buy a 14l5 with bad purity?!
