Nah, it means that John Carmack wins

In all seriousness I wonder what this means in terms of all the processing latency issues that Carmack (and others) have raised - but good that a company with wide-ranging interests in supporting the PC and other platforms got them, instead of somebody else.

Notch is such a whining man-child lol.

I don't see this deal helping out Oculus though. Good news for Sony!

Agh christ. I just realized the post was that Facebook purchased Oculus, not Sony. Well, uh.

April first is still a few days away, sheesh.

The only game that I would really want to play in VR is the original F.E.A.R. Some of the best shooting encounters I ever had in a video game.

I don't like Sony's policy of making you buy everything again when the nextgen console comes out. Its bad enough when controllers cost £50 each. I spent money on the move controller for the PS3 and never used it that much. I spent money on the camera and never used it that much. Now they want me to spend all over again and from what I can see there isn't really much difference so why don't they make the old stuff compatible?

This applies to Project Morpheus as well, since it will cost a barrel load of cash no doubt. I don't want good working stuff becoming obsolete if there isn't a very good reason. As a bomberman player, it sickens me to think I would probably have to spend for X amount of controllers all over again if a new bomberman came out and was really that good for the PS4.

What you just posted makes no sense. The new PS4 camera is greatly improved over PS Eye. It's much faster, has a higher resolution and is actually stereoscopic. You simply wouldn't be able to do the same stuff with the old one. The PS Move controllers from PS3 on the other hand are compatible with PS4.

That's actually kind of depressing, because if anything actually needed an upgrade it was that piece of shit.

Well, I must admit I must have got it wrong about the move controller.

So what works and what does not work on the PS4 from the PS3?

The camera surely would have done for some things like pics/chat and stuff like that!!!

I heard no PS3 controllers would work on the PS4 and just assumed that was correct.. :o
