The leaderboards are really the only source for Arrange scores that I know of. It's entirely possible that someone playing offline could have done better, of course.

Finally, cleared EoSD in normal, Reimu A (it's not really a big thing, but it's the 1st shmup I tried to beat seriously).
I'll be moving on to Hard mode pretty soon

@CStarFlare

I saw that score last night when I randomly decided to play some PS. Very nicely done, congratulations!

Your first clear is a major accomplishment, don't knock it. I've played enough EoSD to know it's not a free clear anyhow. Congrats and good luck on your next target :)

Thanks! Not before the letter score though. … must … soldier … on … Maybe after a break.

Honestly, that was the most satisfying 1cc for me. I've been playing that game for a long time and a 1cc seemed impossible at first.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH congrats jepjepjep! That's awesome. :D

It's hard to tell your score from that shot; it looks like you have less than 5 million... which is pretty impressive if true.

Yeah congrats again jepjepjep! You play PCB, Saturn, or mame? I had to use a NiGHTS pad with my saturn, not ideal but I've gotten used to it.

I think my first Garegga letter came right off the heels of my first Golden Bat 1CC.
It was just the confidence boost I needed to go back with Gain and whoop ass. You'll get it soon I think.

As far as Golden Bat scores, yes, it's will go smoother with low score and low rank.
I'm guessing you even skipped the flamingoes and went for boss quick kills.

Thanks Softdrink! My score was crap, just over 4 million. I played a low-rank run, as low as I possibly could until Base.

Thanks chempop! PCB! It was actually my second shmup pcb I ever owned. I picked it up a while ago back when I totally sucked :P and it wasn't so ridiculously expensive.

Exactly my thoughts. I've scored about 9.7 million with Gain but I really wanted to get the clear and Golden Bat has an awesomely strong shot. I skipped the flamingos and most of the boss milking. I played the first five stages without options and then fully powered up in Stage 6, stocked up some bombs for Black Heart II, and reached glow squid with an extra life in stock. I ended up needing it, the last stretch was nerve-wracking with no extends and no bomb stocks left. 8)

I've cleared the first loop of Gunbird 2! I'm really happy right now :o

It took about 1 week of practice, but I've been wanting to clear this since forever.

I will have to try something like this... the idea of doing low rank Garegga like that honestly never occurred to me haha. Too used to trying to score in YGW games I guess. But yeah, awesome work.

Now you'll just have to do it live at a meet.

I'm ashamed to say I 1cc'd Lords of Thunder on Sega CD.

Posting this news isn't fulfilling. I did it on my first go and it's by far the easiest shmup I've ever played, ever. I can't think of anything that comes close.

Cakewalk doesn't describe it, you can almost do it with your eyes closed. You can definitely do it with one eye closed.

Awesome soundtrack and atmosphere, but a shame there's not more to keep you coming back. I understand the PCE ver is tougher, although not sure how much.

Wow nice. And I know that feel of just going all in on a shmup when you're that close lol

My second Day 1 1CC! This time I cleared Ashura Blaster after about 4 hours of credits and a bit of savestate practice. I don't think I've played that much in one sitting in quite a while, it feels good to find a game I can enjoy enough to play for that long again.

Hey guys, it is great to finally be here! I waited until I did a 1cc that isn't Touhou to go make an account here, and so, with that done, I feel that I have finally earned being able to be a member here too, and can finally stop being a mere lurker around here! :)

As of some time after midnight of today, I have finally done a 1cc of Deathsmiles MBL 1.1 arranged version, using Sakura! I have done the 1st six stages on rank 3, and then went straight to Ch. 5 (Can't quite do a 1cc w/ the extra stages yet), and finally overcame the final boss w/ some life to spare! It took some time to do (I bought the limited edition version earlier this month) and after some hours of practice (And annoying real-life related things that got in the way), I managed to pull through!
Spoiler
Image
Cheers to my 1st ever 1cc clear of a cave game ever, and thus, I have now expanded outside of Touhou! I know there most certainly can be more improvements (Higher scores can be achieved for sure), but overall, not too bad at the moment, for me at least. I'll get one 1cc w/ the extra stages done at some point, and then more!

Looking forward to more great feats! :D

Sonic Sisters 2-all.

This game is soooooo boring. I wish the slowdown hadn't been coded to go ballistic on the second loop. Good luck getting the game to run faster than 15fps.
