Volt measure Egret2?

Post by gbaplayer »

hello,

i got an egret2 yesterday.

how can i see which kind of V is adjusted and how can i change it?
i also never measured any V on my pcb or other cab (new astro city) but all my pcbs work fine.
which devices do you use to measure the volts and how to generally do that procedure?

i have seen some electronic devices that showed the V digital.
are there stil on sale somewhere on the board?

thanks

You own thousands worth of PCBs and you've never measured V?
Just because nothing has exploded doesn't mean you aren't slowing killing your games.

I suggest a new hobby.

Chempop is right, a multimeter and knowing what your voltage is set to is incredibly important, these aren't like cartridges and they all have different amounts of power draw, you could be mistaking working games for broken if the +5 is too low, or you could be the person who broke them if it's too high.

And you'll never know without a meter, it's pretty irresponsible.

there is no information on the internet which games use which V?

If you are talking about these, then no it doesn't regulate anything. It is just a meter to see what's being drawn from the power. You adjust the V on the cab's power supply.

I am trying to help and be respectful, but this is ridiculous man. You have a great collection and now own 2 cabs and you don't seem to have done ANY OF THE MOST BASIC RESEARCH REGARDING THIS HOBBY.
