Colour me interested. This practically just made Sony the indie console giant for this generation IMO. And this isn't Friendly hacking into BPzeBanshee's account either.
I'm wondering what kind of hurdles will be in place, though. It seems to indicate that you won't have to pay for a separate module or anything if you get in the clear with Sony; but that might be tricky enough on it's own. >_>
Still, if stuff like GunSlugs (which I thought very much had a GM sort of flavor to it) can make it on the PS3, I guess there's no reason to be overly pessimistic.
I had a look at the link regarding signing up as a Sony developer and perhaps I missed an option somewhere, but where I ended up it wanted something along the lines of "proof of entity", suggesting one needs to be a licensed business of some kind with CEOs and CFOs whatever to apply. I probably missed something though, I looked at all this like five minutes before I had to leave for work.
Yeah, that and the static IP requirement are the main worries. I'm wondering if Yoyo will act as some of the corporate muscle to help super small devs (the kind who use GM) there, as I'm sure they'd want to be able to brag about whatever games successfully made it over.
