hi members , i was wondering is there a way to tell if a Revision 3-5 and 3-6 AES Consoles have been opened before ?
sort of like the original Neo Geo AES controllers , the screws are underneath the rubber slidy things..............the only way your going to open it up is to cut a hole in the slidy things to get access to the screws.
chat soon
telltale signs Neo Geo AES console has been opened before ?

Can't say anything about the console, but I modded my controller and I did it without cutting the foam pads. Instead I had carefully peeled them away and stuck them back on when I was done. The glue is weaker afterwards though, so if you encounter something like that, I think you can try giving them a little partial peel of your own to see how easily they start coming off.

Later consoles (like the ones with a 3-5 and 3-6) have thick rubber feet, not the lousy foam ones of earlier consoles. You can peel them off without any damage so there's no way to tell if the console has been opened before.

I've opened a 3-6 that had the foam feet, and not thick rubber feet. Perhaps not all newer systems have the feet you describe or were replaced.MKL wrote:Later consoles (like the ones with a 3-5 and 3-6) have thick rubber feet, not the lousy foam ones of earlier consoles. e.g. http://www.jamma-nation-x.com/jammax/store.html (Neo Geo AES Replacement Feet - $1.99)
