NEO GEO D BUTTON QUESTION :~~)

Post by CHUCKY_RUNS_HORROR »

Hello everybody :o I had a little question for the community... I own a "SEGA BLAST CITY" jamma cabinet and a neo geo one slot motherboard. So three of my six buttons that are on my cabinet work for neo geo but I would like to wire in a "D" button now for players 1 & 2 So I heard that pin 25/c on the jamma harness is what I would need to solder wires to in order to do this. So my question is: If I un~solder the wires that are on pins 25/c now and solder a wire to pin 25 and run it to a button for player one "D" with quick connect and then solder a wire to pin c and run it to a button for player 2 "D" with quick connect would the "D" buttons work :?: and also where would I solder the ground wires to on the jamma harness so the "D" buttons would have power :?: thank all of you guys in advance for being awesome

The SEGA cabinets already have button 4 and 5 wired into the harness. On each player side's AMP connectors, the next 2 wires after button 3 are buttons 4 and 5.

YES I WAS TOLD THIS BEFORE, HOWEVER I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET THE "D" BUTTON TO WORK WITH MY NEO GEO MOTHERBOARD. I EVEN WENT AS FAR AS TO BUY THE OFFICIAL SEGA MADE EXTRA BUTTON LOOM MADE FOR MY BLAST CITY CABINET AND NOTHING :(

Dunno what to tell you then; that's how all my New Astro Citys work, and that's what the official Blast City manuals say.

You can daisy-chain ground from any of the other buttons. It's a common ground.
