Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Amazing HNK stuff - I still think the '86 movie is visually the ultimate animation of the series, so vibrant, bloody and gloriously unhinged. The bit where KenJesus nonchalantly shears through a collapsing skyscraper en route to splattering some thugs was a revelation!

Yeah the 80s/90s movies of a anime tv series usually seems to the no holds barred, all out version in terms of visuals and sounds. The new HNK stuff kind of lacks that magic/soul.

Fuuuuuuuuu. Now you're speaking my language. Nice hauls as usual! Jealous of those HnK posters! Been looking for a good one for what seems like forever.

Always makes me smile seeing Tengen stuff. A lot of their MD releases like Snow Bros, Slap Fight and Gauntlet are absolutely godly but I'll always associate them with legally questionable NES games. They gangsta.

So there's a co-op mode here, where both players drop blocks on the same puzzle. It's really cool! Can't wait to unleash this on my buddies.

Yeah, the Tengen NES Tetris beats the hell out of the Nintendo Tetris, in my opinion.

thanks, yeah I noticed for HnK posters... the market is flooded with pachinko/slot posters with annoying CG art or drawings not inline with the original style imho.drauch wrote:Fuuuuuuuuu. I think the same thing when I consider buying a game now. I have too many to play, no point in buying any more because I will never play themDaneSaga wrote:will probably stay in their boxes forever

Not my pic, but while I wait for the BitBlitz I picked up a bunch of RGBHV cables to make up custom SNES, NES, N64 cables, and one of these babies

which is going to feed a pair of Loewe 32" CRTs (with VGA input) and a Sony KV-2900 via UMSA.

Hardcore was using it during the soundcheck at the club I DJ'd in last week. Of course, I chose Requiem (Mirai) in all of it's 15 minutes of glory.BIL wrote:Hardcore.
EDIT: I got mine for a fucking BARGAIN compared to Discogs though.

Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Went to a flea market on the weekend and came back with this:
Sealed F Zero (Greatest hits so I'm cheating I know)

Sealed Robo Pit 2 (There was a sequel??? in 2003??? How could I say no?)

Axelay Cart

CIB Mystic Quest (Supposed to be terrible but I couldn't resist, has the big map poster and everything in crazy good condition.)

Not pictured - CIB Killer Instinct for Snes, w/ Killer Cuts CD still inside!
I'm debating weather I should do a video of my opening F-Zero, because sealed game collecting is stupid.

The universe is neither hostile nor friendly, simply indifferent.
Even without my umbillical cable attached I still have over 12,000 plates of fortified armour AND I have my AT Field! There's NO WAY I can lose!!

If a figure doesn't have removable clothes, it's not a good figure

I should be ok for outputs, but I'll probably run out of inputs at some stage - I'll be feeding each of the 32" VGA with a BitBlitz (taking up 1 output and 1 input per BitBlitz, plus the 2 VGA outputs) to linedouble 240p->480p, plus I've got a few other VGA sources like an ArcadeVGA, AppleTV, then there's the Amiga, maybe a C64.. and that's before I've even started on the consoles. Luckily I've hardly played most consoles, so every system and game will be brand-new for me - I've really only played SNES and Amiga to date!arcade-stg wrote:niall, I bet you are not goin to run out of input/outputs

A few more... Irem themed.
Irem Madonna cab metal panel. Nearly fully enclosed minus a slit on the back. Previous owner looks like me put 4 very sturdy rubber feet on the bottom. Would make a great console stick or supergun.

The Irem "Private Base" PS2 monitor. Was rated a very high quality LCD during it's time (supposedly). Has s-video and composite inputs.

Irem is a subsidiary of Eizo Nanao, so yeah, good monitor.
Nice Madonna panel. I'm looking for a full Madonna cab, actually.
