Zero Gunner 2 is waiting:D
Also congrats! I don't have a Psikyo clear yet. Cave was a bigger monkey though..

Congrats man, you're a machine. Did you take breaks??Perikles wrote:I just cleared five loops of SFC Gradius III myself. On top of it being not quite trivial (every loop lasts more than 40 minutes and it starts to get challenging from loop 3 onwards which means that you have to concentrate for a long period of time; the first stage is absolutely crucial, if you make one tiny mistake after the first checkpoint your credit is finished) it was also immensely satisfying on an emotional level. You see, this port of Gradius III was one of my first true loves in the genre when I delved deeper into it a few years back. I had to work for a while just to clear the first loop back then, and always hoped to return to it one day, getting further. A while later I dared to face the second loop and finally figured out how to properly tackle the first stage and then the rest. While I was glad with the result I still wanted to push it a trifle more.
Good going! I still want to get into Donpachi and Dodonpachi at some point in time so that I might learn to get at least a little less horrendous at somewhat modern games. Seem like good candidates for this purpose (I don't know if V-V counts as a proto-danmaku or not, but I consider it to be moreso classic).Shepardus wrote:1-ALL of Donpachi (JP version)!
No, I find it very difficult to get into the game again once I pause. Especially considering that the first stage in this particular game is by far the most dangerous threat from loop 3 onwards. I could've paused mid-loop I suppose, but didn't want to do that. The "worst" thing in this regard was Slap Fight Special on the MD, had to clear 13 loops at about 15 minutes each to get the counterstop, I was so tired after that.Blinge wrote:Did you take breaks??
I know that feeling. First time I looped it I gameovered at the start of 2-1 because I didn't realize the bee items spawn bullets.Shepardus wrote:

Shit, seems like "The Classic" happened to you. Don't give up!OlDirty wrote:Would have been my first ever Cave game 1CC and i just didn't finish the last boss for such a tiny bit of energy. Too nervous and panic bombing![]()

I'm glad I played this instead of Gunnail this week. ^^
Reminds me of my almost-1cc of the very same game. You've got this!OlDirty wrote:Would have been my first ever Cave game 1CC and i just didn't finish the last boss for such a tiny bit of energy. Too nervous and panic bombing![]()

Nice one, I've been playing this game a bit recently and anything above Euridice scares me.OmKol wrote:Hitogata Happa - 1CC with TLB on Nobilmente, finally! Leaderboard screenshot.
The first Gunbird is certainly among the easiest Psikyo 1-ALLs, at least with Yuan Nang. I personally find it to be one of the more enjoyable games from them, too.KoopaTGR wrote:What other Psikyo games are good for a 1-ALL?
Not yet - holidays, guests, other things to do. Also at this clear I've got my personal best score on the first 4 stages and it's hard for me to improve. Maybe I'll try higher difficulty.Chaos Phoenixma wrote:Do you have any plans to do more in the game, whether scoring or clears?
