Took 3 attempts @_@"... first attempt died at last stage on first loop, second attempt died at last boss... fk this boss grrr!~

This game is really just hard dodging skill >.<!!!~

I don't understand why last stage on first loop is called "2-0" and then first stage on second loop is called "2-1" it is so confusing... they call the last stage as "Stage 0" zzz???

Very very fun game! Knew of it for a long time, but just lazy to start it lol.

I did watch someone else 1CC before starting play it, so already knew a few tricks like to collect all power-up. That help!!~

CRS68K 1-ALL on 3rd try is no joke, congrats. Crazy skill. Is that the Windows or X68K version? (can't tell from the screenshot)

Personally I've finished both (X68K version some years ago, Windows version just yesterday), I consider the former the superior version.

I really underestimated the difficulty of this since so many people say it is maybe slightly more difficult to clear than Original which I cleared a few years ago when I had much less shmup experience. I would say it is noticably more difficult.
Would say this too. I think some good danmaku players were a bit surprised about the classic style of the original mode and needed the same time to adapt to the fast aimed bullets of original and to just adapt their typical danmaku playstyle.

A problem caused again by some who dont are able anymore to talk about difficulty as a more general topic.

Thank you >.<!~ I like this game a lot, think will try 2-ALL, but no practice mode is super, super annoying!~

This is latest Windows version (1.10)! I wanted to just use this since lazy to find emulator for 68K lol, and, I saw some people say in other thread it has less lag.

Edit: Did another two run today, made it to 2-3 this time >.<"... those 2nd loop revenge bullets really annoying, but... errrrrrrrr... seems like Faith was accidentally playing this game with faster FPS (harder)?????~

Was looking at Jaimers replay and he say this game need to play at 55.45 FPS because of the Sharp X68000. But I check me running 60+ FPS Nani The Fk X_X?

I put my replay and Jaimers replay side-by-side and is very obviously mine faster grrrr X__________X!!!!!!~

yeah Windows version is faster, you will definitely notice that after playing both versions for a while. What some people may suggest is to cap the FPS through the GPU but I could never be bothered to do that.

You could try the Retroarch core for X68000, it's easy to install and you only need the additional keropi BIOS files. It runs pretty well and it's perhaps the most straightforward way to emulate X68000, plus you can use save states.

Congrats!! Haha, yes, definitely doable. For me, just lazy now. Still spending most of time in Crimzon Clover, and I find lack of practice mode in CRS very annoying. So, if I want practice it properly, best to run in emulator than Windows version and Faith is very, very lazy lol! Most of second loop problems will really be the last stage, the rest are ok. But I will say, the main test really will be the energy to do high speed dodging for two full loops... because CRS is very little routing and almost all just dodging skill. I will probably aim for second loop clear... but this will be a hobby at the side, not main goal!~

Mushihimesama Futari Black Label Original with Reco!~

Image

Well... today finally manage to install this silly DLC on Xenia! Almost got clear on first attempt with Palm but last boss final pattern changes were a big surprise >.<!~

Then tried Reco and Reco is actually more fun in Black Label lol, did not enjoy Reco in Ver 1.5 very much X_X"...

Black Label definitely easier than Ver 1.5 I feel... I had already tried Ver 1.5 for around 10 hours, and not clear yet (very almost!)... even though Black Label has more congestion problem in some parts, shot power improvement (and options, especially for Reco, actually work better now) mean it is easier experience. In total only needed 3 attempts to clear this, if counting only experience on Black Label. But, I will say, I very strongly recommend this! It is raw dodging skill, zero routing needed. So for newer players, or players who hate routing... Futari Black Label Original is definitely made for you!~

Depends on what your goal is. For pure survival, it's easier since your shots are wider and flood the screen with damage. Bosses die a bit faster too. Reco BL also has exceptional lockonshots that can easily lock on from everywhere on the screen when lasering.

However, if you're playing for score, the rank is much nastier due to how bullet speeds work when you max the stage counter. The pointblank gem shed bonus also means there's arguably a considerably higher skill ceiling since they're worth a LOT. You need to be much more aggressively in enemies' faces to get these gems, whereas in Original 1.5 there's a more forgiving amount of room where you can pop enemies and be close enough to get the highest value gems. Bombs also penalize your score counter FAR worse than 1.5 to the point where you tank your score badly if you ever throw out a bomb. I'd argue Original BL is much harder than 1.5 if playing purely for score.

Haha, yes, I agree for score, Black Label is a challenge!!

I managed another clear, this time 2-Miss, and I notice the game not reward bonus for extra stock anymore >.<!~

It seems that is because now in Black Label, the extend bonus is multiplied by bomba stock! So if you have zero bomba, that means you get no bonus for extends X_X!~

So... in Black Label... it means it makes more sense to SD right before last boss kill shot to restock bomba haha!!!

But anyway, yes, I have noticed all these things. I did another run, where I use almost no bomba, and just take death... and this run score much better than my run with 2-Miss lol. But this is now a very fun mode to score!~

I will definitely spend more time in Black Label Original, to understand the scoring better. Enjoy it a lot for sure!!~

BareKnuckleRoo wrote: Tue Feb 10, 2026 3:38 pmwhen you max the stage counter.
Will also just say, this is my favorite thing of Black Label Original now. So satisfying to see 9999 and the blinking counter and whole game go into crazy mode. Love it!!~

Mushihimesama Futari Black Label Maniac with Reco!~

Image

Haha well this was very fun!! Actually prefer scoring in Maniac to Original this time, love the way it works!!~

Big joke was I actually got to St 5 Boss first attempt with boss HP down to 20% but did not reach 2nd score extend because really did not know what was doing at all first run since scoring so differnet to Original >.<!~

But then take much, much more time to understand scoring so at least can try score St 1 & St 2 a bit better.

So... for this run managed to get 2nd score extend!!!~

May I say though... fk fk fk the St 2 Boss in Maniac, really super ridiculous... easily 2nd hardest boss in game after the St 5 Boss. Many run ended right here X_X"...

Also few days ago tried God for fun, reached St 3 Boss on first attempt.. but this mode a bit crazy, so not yet decide how much time will spend in it. Problem is too much slowdown, really... even in Maniac it is crazy.

That, I think, is my biggest problem with Maniac... too much slowdown means that some part, like St 4... become huge annoying drag.

But, overall... huge amount of fun. Enjoyed it a lot!!!~

Indeed, my friend. I'm playing on emulator but haven't tried to really get into the 2nd loop. I might try in the future.

lol think this will be Faith's proudest "normal" clear ever... eXceed 3rd Jade Penetrate Black "Normal" Auto Bomba Off & ExStage+TLB Clear!

Image

Completely crazy, crazy, crazy game. Normal+TLB in this game is really no joke, 40 minutes long (Ex add about 10 minutes) with so, so many spell cards >.<"... also, usually for these kind of "Touhou-style" STG, the stages are not really super exciting... but here the stages are really super. Also, to trigger ExStage it is quite mean... need to NMNB St 2 mid-boss, then NMNB St 3 mid-boss (and this boss have one very evil pattern)... and only after that, a special mid-boss will spawn in St 4... and need to NMNB that one too. Because of this, it makes it impossible to practice because if try to practice St 4, that trigger boss will not appear. Can only appear during full run. So a lot of failed runs!~

Also, really love that this game combine three things I love a lot: bullet grazing + speed killing + point blank killing. And the music... ahh!

Not sure if ever played STG before with <3 metal <3 for OST love it!~

Now Rendering Ranger R^2 on hard.

On hard, some of the more "empty" sections feel a little bit more interesting but the HP on the bosses are greatly increased. In some cases this is ok, cause you have to deal with their attacks a bit longer where you could kill them a bit too fast before. But some fights get very tedious and boring. I am not sure, what difficulty I would recommend... possibly normal.

At first, I had 6 lifes left but my recording was broken. On my second attempt, I died on a bad spot. R^2 isnt as problematic in terms of chain deaths, compared to lets say Thunder Force 4 (which was a influence) but if you lose your pods, some level 8 bosses get very hard, so I at the end lost all lives against the final boss. My third attempt was very good with again 10 lives left.

Deathsmiles MBL 1.0 no death mode clear with Follett, 366M. Objectively pretty easy and my route is scrub, but I guess the first time makes anything feel special — not my first arcade 1cc, but my first shooter 1cc. Feels like weights lifted off my shoulder, esp. since Ive been bouncing around games so much I started to second guess myself if I can even focus. Kudos to DS for having such a cool scoring system that made me finally settle on a single game. Now I can finally do risky routes to my heart's content :D

Nah Same! 1P is exquisite, and probably one of the least understood games ever. Old Raiden is just... not lol

But it might be better if you play it on the proper size screen, which means 14~20 inches, which it was probably made for, just like Same!.
