The WHO's relationship with China needs to be scrutinized for sure, but what do you think is the smart thing to do? Simply withdraw all funding, while the WHO plays a crucial role in coordinating coronavirus research, or telling them that the money will come with some strings attached and more oversight? Without the US involved at all now, it just invites China to exert even more influence over the WHO.

And you don't need the WHO to figure out how to prepare for a pandemic. Other countries were able to do it, the reason the US wasn't is because of the incompetence of its government, which is now trying to shift the blame.

They were instrumental in the Sars and H1N1 outbreaks where they went after them aggresively, but the more recent dealings with China when they were given the "all clear" back in Dec, only for them to not pressure them into reassuring left the door wide open for it to spread.

I don't know about Baby Trump and the way he goes into tirades on how to handle everything, but I do agree that accountability needs to be taken. Maybe I'm missing something in the argument, but if you can't at least acknowledge that BM has at least some beef here then you really are hopeless. The far end of the spectrum is DeVoss.
