Judging from the the promo artwork, I have three predictions of what this game could be, Number one, it may end up as a smartphone free to play rpg or visual novel game as many suggested. Two, it could be a Shmup. For prediction number three, the game may end up being a third person shooter/Action RPG hybrid, and that move would be unexpected.

I'll be very surprised if this turns out to be a shmup. My guess is on it being some sort of mobile strategy game, maybe with collectible cards/waifus that you can level up.

Looks like RTS with micro-transactions milking.

You need to chain the smaller popcorn micro transactions, while simultaneously waiting for the bigger items to appear. You lose kudos if your wallet is set to Auto

I can't believe there are still people out there hopeful for a Cave return to form.

They already have Gothic wa Mahou Otome. That's as much of a shmup as they're likely to make, more than that and they may as well be heaping their money into a pile and setting it on fire.
