The old thread is only for the demo and seems to be dead, so I'm reposting for v1.22. For those looking to buy the game, it can be puchased here.

Rules:
-1 credit only
-Play using Rule Mode (Strict)
-Screenshot or replay required for #1 scores (and encouraged for all)

Some scores I got on the side while working on some other stuff I've been doing. I should probably play with the autoguard off in future runs just so I don't have to worry about the scenario of it going off if I get hit. Its probably because I'm trying to do some scoring, but I'm bad at increasing rank due to the autoguard being set off (though the case with normal is that I'm not too confident in handling the the game at a higher rank). I tend to forget about bombing if there are things I could do for score, which usually results in me getting hit and not death bombing.

Did anyone ever post/translate the scoring mechanics to the latest version of this game anywhere? I know there are FAQs floating around but the ones I've found seem to be for older editions, and last time I checked the "scoring" section of the official site was never put up, so I can't even attempt a Google translate. I'd love to know how all the mechanics of this thing work...

I think I sort of figured out how Type-C works now, but Type-S scoring leaves me clueless. Run from January. Didn't get a chance to improve it.

Easy - Type-C

Only comments I can give was that I either had a lot of luck or I was able to handle the speed of the bullets at rank 4 for me to somehow reach Elm Order. I didn't have the resources for it though since my main goal was to beat the Area 7 boss at rank 4. Still not used to the idea of dealing with suicide bullets, but its something I'm slowly learning to deal with.

Recently moved stuff in and out of my dropbox so I don't know if the link I had in my previous post still works. My current best easy run as well as the normal run I posted previously should be found here:

First clear, second day of playing. Accidentally have Rule instead of S.Rule but 'strict' only disables accessories (which I don't have equipped). Don't understand the scoring well enough to jack up the rank yet so will try that next or go for hard mode. Also ingame leaderboard doesn't seem to differentiate between strict/accessory rule which sucks.

Mostly looking at the other difficulties with the normal and arcade run. I'll probably come back to those at some point. Still trying to work on easy. I did clear easy on rank 4 with Type S earlier, but that run has a lower score than what I currently have.
