Time attack (non-Uo Poko)
bsidwell - 1,049,314 - 1009 - C - 4 - Roll

I've never played a game that made you work so hard just to get on the high score screen.

I hope this gets picked for STGT, it's been criminally neglected.

Edit: bsidwell - 1,210,728 - 1099 - C - 4 - Roll

TIME ATTACK, uo-poko:

spongdangly 1,694,839 1494

Not having to power up when you die is a huge bonus but the speed is so ridiculous.

Hey RGC - are you excepting STGT 2008 scores for this one or not? I understand if you're not frankly!

Absolutely! If STGT08 gave rise to a new personal best, and you want to show that achievement off, I would have to be some kind of scumsucker to stand in your way!

OK, scores have been incorporated from STGT08, and limited to 50 places. Sorry to those who got nudged off, and YES I know it's currently a mess - will fix the alignment issue when I get home from work (and add sikraiken's score).

Exactly why I thought it might be a pain to get all our scores coming in individually only have to remove the low ones like mine once they all came through.

More motivation for me to stick with this little bastard for a little longer now though! Though I might have to focus on the main game.

Could you change my subweapon from Roll to Bomb? That was a typo.

That was 1602 DDM in my TA-run.
The numbering in the "Normal play" table is a bit messed up.

Normal Game

freddiebamboo - 4,489,351 - 3658 - B - 4 - Roll - 5

Planned out a workable bomb strategy for stage 4 and 5 which is getting me good results now, although beating the last boss is still miles away from me at the moment. I think I'd need at least 2 lives in stock to have any chance against him...

Ah ignore me, I started drinking early today. ;)

Edit: Err, don't suppose you remember your non-poko score? Seems maintaining a high score thread is beyond my capabilities. Fuck!

c'mon RGC, sort it out :P

and can someone explain the dealio with the TLB? does he always appear after beating the stage 5 boss on 1 credit, and are you invincible if you no-miss, or is it a no-bomb? i'm playing as the cat, and i'm hoping it's no-bomb :D

I'm pretty sure it's:
Boss appears if you 1-life the game up to that point
Boss can't hurt you unless you bomb him

But I dunno, I still almost never make it to Stage 4 on one credit, so I'm not going to claim I'm an expert on this game.

Yup, you need to 1LC the game to get him to appear and you are invincible until you bomb.

I could be totally wrong here, but I think one of the superplays bombs the TLB as it starts and then dodges all his attacks normally just for kicks. I stress the could be wrong part though, I'm just back from a night out...

Yup, it's this one. He does die a couple times but still 1CCs the boss. Pretty entertaining video.

you know i love you, you crazy minstrel circus freak 8)

cheers fellas. there's no way i'm reaching the stage 5 boss fight on 1 life, let alone defeating him as well with no deaths. that last pattern is brutal (the last pattern on all the bosses from stage 2 onwards are pretty bastard hard with the cat  ).

so what are the advantages of fighting the TLB then? higher score bonuses for completion?

i hate having to sell this

Had to spam my bomb stock like a little girl to get through the last boss's final pattern but he went down.
