This show take place in Japan during early 90's.
The story is centered around a boy in grammar school who plays excessive amount of video games,
and a standoffish girl whom he builds a connection to as the result of
a rather colorful incident at the arcades that involves them competing in Street Fighter 2.











Personally I'm not thrilled about the anime style, but retro game genre is not common in TV shows, so what can i do.
Music is being handled by the person behind most of Street Fighter 2's BGM soundtrack. (Shimomura Youko)

I wouldn't count on it, that takes far too much trouble to animate. If they're really self-conscious about it they'll just avoid showing the hands as much as possible.

Yeah, all I can say is...I'm looking forward to it, I've already read enough of Hi-Score Girl to understand and now to wait on the series too.
