Is there any full description of all the differences somewhere?

The opening post is exhaustive for the differences. However, the version available at Stunfest had some additional tweaks, most importantly that you will also get an extend when the zan counter rolls reaches 5000 (i.e. 5k enemies killed with Rose Cracker) and not only when it reaches 0 (i.e. 1k enemies killed with Shot).warbird wrote:Is there any full description of all the differences somewhere?

When you have the ROMs you can just get someone to swap the program and graphics chips on a PS board. The ROMs I think should be released soon.

Recently heard about this and it sparked my interest as a long time lurker and owner of a couple sh-3 boards, you say this group who did this and has another project in the works but what's the goal here? are they at any point going to release the roms for ppl to do their own boards?

Smells like this patch is only for those who have a pcb, what's needed to flash it, and are ready to take the risk.

Maybe I'm completely misguided here, as I haven't emulated an arcade game in too many years, but if MAME can play other CV1000 games, shouldn't it be pretty easy to trick it into playing anything else designed for those boards?
I know it's possible for each game to carry a different FPGA configuration, but do they actually?

It shows instructions when you run it from cmd, just Unzip the 4 dot ps into the same dir and type suicideclub *

Took me a while to make the patcher work since I'm not familiar with command line.
So after it's done I've renamed the files and put them back into a zip, then carried it to my roms folder.
But it didn't work. MAME gives me a red warning with crc errors.
Yep, that's what I remember from every time a patch for an arcade game has been released in that form.
So I'm going to wait for it to be included in the official mame romset and games list after all. ^^
