Nyu was advertising Vulkaiser well before it came out - I was excited for it then kind of forgot.

The bundle also contains a Neptunia game and a Nihon Falcom game if you pay a little more. Pretty solid bundle.

Just gave Vulkaiser a spin and I love it! Even though it's pay what you want I wasn't going to bother until I learned it was an Astro Port game. I'm glad I didn't miss this opportunity.

Vulkaiser actually turns out to be out of Astro Port's better games. Decent scoring system and some interesting patterns. Kind of surprisingly good considering it's one of their earlier titles.

Wonder if Nyu will ever put out Meglio the Witchborg?

Bought Kamui and XIIZeal. Time to see what all the fuss is about. I thought XIIZeal looked bad in motion, but seeing still images of the sprites I was surprised at how detailed they are.

I recommend the whole Alltynex Trilogy, though Alltynex Second has become my favorite (with Kamui at a close second). They're not the most polished shmups in the world, since each game is different, but they're totally unique and have some really visceral moments and cool set pieces.

XIIZeal looks good in 60fps motion. 30fps not so much. Worth the purchase especially with DeltaZeal around the corner!

Kamui is great—it's like Raizing does Raystorm. XIIZeal I don't like as much. The scoring is kind of annoying and feels pointless. I'd like it much more if I didn't have to build up the combo for so long by melee-ing, and if the enemy swarms weren't so obviously built around being meleed. Gonna have to play them both more, though. Maybe I'll pick up Alltynex Second while I'm at it, and finally get around to playing Reflex.

And Kamui is based on Souky gameplay more then Ray gameplay lol.

Also I see someone saying "Raystorm" and not "Rayforce". Go play Rayforce the greatest stg of all time.

Pester $.42

Pester's all right, worth buying at that price. SKHR looks like a DDP-clone and for $.20 I can't imagine it's a terrible idea. SKHR also comes with Super Killer Hornet Original as free DLC.

I'm pretty sure it and a bunch of other Irem stuff was removed some time ago.
