New hi-score Saturn mode:
34.835.070 pts - All Clear - A32 B22 C30

Plasmo> On the scoreboards saturn mode, you don't need to write: "All Clear (stage 4)" because on this mode, you must do stage 2 and 4

Not many scores for such a popular game..

27.336.540 pts on arcade mode (stage 4) and 22.860.060 pts on arcade mode (stage 2). The last record was broken by Wiz recently with 22.9 M pts. Concerning the saturn mode, there is no official world record.

slightly better score:
16,744,880

however, i've started to play stage 2 route (which is the 16.4), just for a bit of a break. and for the first time, fully chained stage 5 with no deaths

i was playing quite cautiously, but very happy with that. if i can now put that together with a good stage 4 route play, i should be making some good scores.

Been playing this game again lately. I'm not quite Ben Shinobi, but I did finally push my Arcade score over 20M. Full chained all stages without a break, but I did miss a couple blue chains in 4C and died early on the 4E boss. Yes, pulling off the full chain on stage 5 is the most satisfying experience in any shooter ever.

And with less than a second to spare, I even killed the core too!

Arcade Mode:
T-hawk - 20,217,450 - All clear (stage 4) - A33 B25 C33

Saturn Mode:
T-hawk - 23,986,690 - All clear - A30 B18 C28

I also have a Saturn mode score of 28M in my save, but that was with the life extend set to every 1M so it doesn't count for here.

Hi, i am a new RS-Player.
I got the game and an used Saturn 2-3 weeks ago. I first played Ikaruga and so i came to RS.
I am still in practice and so i play with 10 Lives. So my score over 9.000.000 in ArcadeMode is not worth mentioning.

Anyway, i want to ask Ben Shinobi (i saw your skill-videos at super-play) how he can start Stage 5 in ArcadeMode with 0 points and powered weapons...

You need the "Options +" in the menu to get stage select mode and Code Action Replay to start with powered weapons.

Full chained all stages without a break, but then Varas and Bechew ate my lunch (as they always do) on stage 6, so I didn't get the final payoff from Xiga. Some day I'll full clear Saturn mode with all chains...

i have finally managed it - a full stage 5 chain with a stage 4 route play and set my new score:

jpj - 20,671,690 - all (stage 4) - A33 B30 C33 (arcade mode)

stage 5 chain of 8.4 million. this was without destruction of the boss, and quite conservative chaining (there is room for improvement!):

...well, i think that will be it for me and silvergun (if somebody other than ben beats my score, i may be back!

). 20 million was my own personal target, and i am very happy to have reached that. perhaps i may now be able to put my pad down and play other games.... we shall see!

also, i would like to give a heart-felt thank you to ben for all his help and encouragement.

Hey jpj, indeed I am. Finally got the 1cc today but ended up with a lower score.

It's taken me 60 hours to do the Stage 2 route...now for the stage 4 route!

Although, I may just try to get a few more points on Stage 2 route just to overtake STG!
