RQ: Orb power-up system in PCE Spriggan....

I know that the power up system in Spriggan has to do with different colored orbs, but how exactly does this work??

Let the game go into demo mode (don't press anything after booting the game) , it demonstrates the power-up system pretty well. Or just read the review at shmups.com.

Basically, the combination of three orbs = your weapon. The system sounds great in theory, but unfortunately two greens and a yellow (or two yellows and a green, same thing) is the only combination worth playing on. Others are either ineffective, too narrow or too slow to get any decent damage done.
