I wouldn't think so. I haven't used anything other than the blue ship myself.

List needs to be reordered or something, Damocles' score isn't on top!

Anyway, here's my current high:

Ed Oscuro - 5,845,540 - Area 85 (Stage 5) - Thunder Claw

Finally bit the dust at the second shaft descent past "Heaven's Gate," where some spinny things come up to get you. I should've had that spot, but wasn't powered up and just messed up.

I screwed up a few times, although not on the bosses (which are freakin' easy in this loop) I imagine a 1CC might be on the way if I can keep up this pace...this score is over double my previous high from today, which itself is at least double whatever my highscore was when I played this half a year ago.

Thunder Claw is the green weapon for the blue ship. Check out the demo, it shows the difference between the green weapons for the blue and red ships (red and blue is the same weapon).

I haven't tried out the green weapon for the red ship. It might be good, and it might be crap.

p.s. using MAME

Still getting stupid deaths, heh...first died right as I offed the last part of the third boss, even dodged its shot pattern twice. That's all for tonight.

I had two spare lives after beating it and got no point bonus for them. That's bunk. I should've suicided and grabbed the three-bomb bonus...

Updated. I assume you all use 1P/Thunder Claw?

Also, I am starting to think this is a bad idea.

I think I know the game well now :P

Smraedis - 9,681,940 - ALL - 1P

Wanting 10 millions...
Those sliding laser guns do me every time, just after I think I've got past that part. I like how you can move some enemies off the screen though!

Spadgy - 1,386,430 - Area 37

Holy crap - what an assault on my mind. This game doesn't feel like it should be so hard but boy, is it constantly punishing?!

Lame score compared to all yours', but at least I'll find it easier to find this thread now I guess!

EDIT - That's Saturn version in Arcade mode... I assume the Saturn and Arcade modes score the same?

Give me a break...I'm just testing out this game, and I already clear it? Wtf?

Ruldra - 8,004,490 - ALL - 2P

The 2P green shot is awfully powerful by the way.

Ruldra - 10,952,190 - ALL - 2P

If it wasn't for a stupid death on the last boss I would've no missed/no bombed the whole game.

I already know what to do in every spot so it's only a matter of time now...I just need to keep playing until everything falls into place. Final score estimation is around 11,5mil.

Wow, an old game that I don't hate and wow, me posting a score after months, even if it's old :D

TWIN COBRA II
AST-LUN - 11,128,410 - ALL / 1P

It's a NM/NB. Don't really know about any possible difference between the two versions, I had to use this because of the tournament that Moteuchi Yota previously mentioned.

Western record GET!

Image

Ruldra - 11,497,130 - ALL - 2P

INP file + emulator here.

No miss/no bomb 8) Took me like 80 tries to finally pull it off, lol.

And what a coincidence, LUN is posting here right now! I used your NM/NB video on youtube as reference...helped me out on a few spots, especially on the 3rd boss.

I will upload my own replay on youtube soon.
