I recently received Windows Vista Home Premium with a new PC, and am looking to pick up some of the newer shmups for it.

The compatibility of Windows Vista with Windows XP games is still not fully documented. Although in many cases, I've found that older games can be made to run if you right-click and put them into "Windows XP SP2 Compatibility Mode" and/or put them into "Run as Administrator" mode.

If anyone is able to directly test the compatibility of english language Vista, with recent Japanese PC shmups, please share your results here.

e.g. Is Shikigami no Shiro III compatible with Vista?

I havent had any trouble with the couple of Touhou games I have, if that helps.

I think I had to download the Japenese language pack though..... or something......



But they run just fine, once I got them going.
