For Rob,

1.) Would Mame32 emu program be alright to use as well?

2.) What arcade Roms and/or arcade shmup PCB titles are to be considered for this shmup contest anyways? ^_~

3.) I do have two Supergun setups as well with a somewhat respectable shmup PCB collection to boot..... ^_~

Thanks for your time...

1. Any MAME is good, I think.

2. Themes are undecided, but I expect similar types of games as last time: some plainly hard to just survive and others with deep scoring systems.

3. Awesome.

OK, for those of unproven talent expressing interest, I'm going to require two tests to make sure you can hang with the gang:

1. at least 2-1 in Strikers 1945 II (no monkey)

2. 20,000,000,000,000 points in Giga Wing

:)

If this team gets plenty of motivated, skilled players, then I'd like to join. That way my score won't have a chance of counting against my team and dragging it down, as happened a few times last year, especially with Star Force.

I know but, it needs to be addressed it is basically doing same thing.
That one is hard to argue with. Mame and a modded xbox do the same thing emulators.

I think not using bombs in the GWs is overstated. Doesn't break the chain or anything. I use them all!

I actually don't know what I'm going to do for this year's tournament. I have a feeling Team Cowboy will not be making a repeat performance

Shoesama you should make a "The Team Ever" team and recruit Darius11. Yeahhh ok, at least make him an honorary member or something.

I want in but I haven't played any previous years. Wasn't a member of the forums yet. Should I find a rookie team?

I'm gonna see if I can meet those criteria you listed. I'll have a lot of time on my hands to practice all summer, not getting a job or taking classes (I don't think) :P

So will it start in late august again?

Good luck.

I think the tournament is going to start a little earlier this time, by maybe a month.
