CAVE 12/2006 (PCB)

This is the Mushihime-sama Futari Version 1.5 high score thread. Version 1.5 is an update to the original version.

Rules: no continues, and default live stock, difficulty, and extends. Submit in the order shown in the table. The PCB has separate rankings for each character in Original, Maniac, and Ultra modes, so I've set up similar rankings here except with Ultra mode, where there is one ranking for default extend scores and one with the extends set at every 80mil.

Key for all tables:
SCORE – NAME – STAGE (LxX for ALL scores) – Abnormal/Normal

LxX for ALL scores indicates how many spare lives you finished the game with (for example, if you finish the game with 2 spare lives, list it as Lx2, if you finish the game with no spare lives, list it as Lx0)

Thanks! I think I got it up to 32,000 or so. Big points in this one!

My full impressions are in the official thread, but in short I like it more. I wish Original wasn't so easy in the beginning, but the worked out bugs and harder final stage make it more solid overall.

everyone in japan is playing with normal reko it seems.. i found abnormal palm to be much better but hey what do i know.. (still dont know jack about the scoring)...

Yeah, they made Abnormal Palm a bit stronger in version 1.5 (he sucks in version 1.0).

yeah well hes crazy powerfull in 1.5 anyways (not mention he has the coolest C shots ive ever seen in a shooter!!)

I'm using Normal Reco for Maniac. Seems easier than Normal Palm. NOt bothered w/ the Abnormal. That whole speeding up when you hold down C throws me off.

Not bad for my 4th try at the game, 2nd time with Palm. Although I admit, I bombed the bejesus out of the 3rd level, and I deserved to lose my last extend like 10 times before I actually did.

The only life I lost was at the final form of the last boss, but considering I had taken her that far down without any bombs I'm overall very pleased with this run. I don't see myself beating this score without seeing some new scoring tricks so I think I'll retire this game for now.

I quite like Abnormal Palm.

I've been playing Ultra mode this afternoon, here's my best thus far:

ULTRA MODE - PALM

Got about halfway through stage 2, getting better with stage 1 (can almost do it with 1 miss). I like Ultra mode in this game so much more than in Mushi 1.

Finally got the 1CC in original mode with Abnormal Palm.

Stupid deaths in Stage 3, 4, and the rest in 5. Finished with no bombs and no lives. Just barely scraped by at the end.
I'll probably play Maniac for a bit now.

Back to Ultra today, mild improvement:

ULTRA MODE - PALM
34,212,259 - TWE - Stage 2 - Abnormal

16 mil in stage 1, getting a bit better there. Once again ended my game a bit before the midboss in Stage 2. Ultra gives you the biggest rush when you play it but right now it's still pretty frustrating. Anyway, I'll keep at it. Once I get Stage 2 down my score should balloon.

Hmm first time I played 1.5 last week in Shibuya (of all places) I got 220 something, up to third stage. Used only 2 bombs.
